Well idk, I have alot of indian (not middle eastern indian) in me, so I stay fairly tan all year and get really dark in the summer. IMO, guys who go to tanning beds "just to look good" are insecure pretty boy ****s with female mentality. Men arent men anymore. I dont get it. I have little respect for the majority of the young male population today. In america anyway, dont know how it is everywhere else.

Tanning beds are stupid, unless you like cancer. Depending on where you live and the time of the year, you may look like a retard tugboat walking around with a deep tan in the middle of winter.
Not gonna say I don't like being tan, but it's always in the summer, as I work outside most of the time.Opeth, Vai, and Lamb of God enthusiast.

Yeah I see what you're getting at but I care much more how a guy handles himself and how he acts and not what he does to look better. Looking good has so many advantages in todays society so why not. Just like a full suit makes you better looking than when you're wearing some shítty old clothes.
Edit: It's funny now that I think about it. You would say, from a logical point of view, that you're insecure since you think that tanning is gay.Last edited by PrimoVictoria; 01-22-2014 at 05:49 AM.

Tanning no it is not good for you but it can have some benifits, such as if you have ever been to a third world country and got a case of ring worm, with the help of ointment and tanning you can get rid of it. The strain of ringworm in South America is different than in the US, it will tear you up. Second, it can help people with depression. Third, good place to meet females. Note: If you use a tanning bed, beware some people have been known to get a stain of Herpes from the unclean residue left behind from others, second - cover your junk, you dont want skin cancer down there. PS: If you need color go outside.

I just started going again, once or twice a week.
It's not good for you, but the cancer stuff is overrated.
Like with anything, moderation is key.
If you go all winter looking like you just came back from a Caribbean Island, yeah, you will have issues.
If you have a base tan and use common sense you'll be fine.
If you drink a few beers on the weekend...good luck with your 2014 liver failure.
That's dumb, Moderation!USMC 95-2000
Do or do not, their is no try! (I made this up myself)

I think you misunderstood or I explained wrong. I agree, it has everthing to do with how you conduct and carry yourself. but the majority of guys who are overly concerned with their looks usually have a very immature, feminine mentality from what I see. Most, not all. Theres nothing wrong with looking nice, clothes and hygine wise (meaning haircut and clean shave) but I think for a male, you draw the line at certain points. Ie. Tanning, manicures, pedicures, subtle make up, worrying about keeping your hands soft, I mean come on, really? And no, im not insecure at all. when I say tanning is "gay" I dont mean it literally, I use alot of words very loosley. Dont read into ito much. I just mean it makes no sense to me. Like I said, it seems more of like a females mentality. Basically, I dont believe men are supposed to be pretty boys. They should have some form of ruggedness to them in some form or another along with self respect and respect for other. And you dont see that these days in the younger generation. Just a bunch of immature, spoiled, grown children. But thats just my opinion. I could be the dumbass here

Lol I didnt see the substance, but I agree everyone, especially men, should embrace their own skin and looks. Its fine to improve on things, but people just take it too far sometimes. Men and women alike. But yet men hate on women for being "fake" and wearing too much makeup, yet they do the same damn thing, just in a different fashion.
