My friend is trying to lose weight but he doesnt know how many calories he needs to go under to lose weight is 800 okay?

need more info on bw, etc but 800 is not healthy for anyone

His BMR should be around 1950... so I wouldn't eat any less than 2200-2300 cals a day to cut. If he is extremely active everyday, his TDEE could be higher than average and he might be able to put down 2500-2700 a day and lose weight.
Learning something new here every single day... and I'm still not sure if I understand : /
