i'm not trying to offend anyone here, i'm getting stuff set up in case they say yes they can say well where are you going to get all of this. that's really not that odd... if i go to them and say i want to put on a rock concert, if it's even viable they are going to ask who... and if i say oh.. well i guess i should figure that out, i look like an idiot. i was not asking for donations directly (even if it came off like that), i was asking if anyone had any ties to any people nearby that i could talk to. yes ultimately i would like a donation, but if we have to pay a small'ish rental fee for the day, that is something we could do. i'm not downright saying, give me some equipment for an event we might do... it's pretty clear in my posts that it's still in the planning stages, and it's not even until april... i'm getting a headstart on everything that i possibly can at this point.

Interesting...mayhaps I'll take this approach next time I include it. Till then, linear progression till I hit 455. Anyone else thoughts on elbow position for FP?
Would love to discuss of Armstrong, but mods gonna mod. I just don't get why people so openly break the rules at such high stakes, regardless of what rules are broken or in what sport (or not even in sports).
My cubicle fawking wreaks of menthol. I normally like it a little but I am disgust. To much liniment/10. What kind do you guys use?Best Meet Lifts:

You think that's bad, you should see what APT's charging now for convicts and strangulators.
Equiblock DT. http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Coat-E.../dp/B000QO8MFK
or just liquid capsaicin. http://www.amazon.com/Capzasin-Arthr...ords=capsaicin (but I just pick this stuff up at Walgreens).

So do you have a definite preference for capsaicin over menthol liniments? I looked at every option at the Ranch and Home, and they were all either 1.26% or 4% menthol without much else in them.

I definitely do. Menthol liniments do little more than open the pores and thus cool the area they're applied to. At least capsaicin liniments do something to directly impact the pain (inhibit the nerve signals). You won't feel them much until you get warmed up and start sweating, at which point your pores open and BAM! ...which makes me wonder if anyone makes a menthol/capsaicin liniment, because it'd take effect much more quickly. Or you could apply some DMSO to the area along with the capsaicin.
Note that I tend to use capsaicin-based liniments during training, and only sometimes after. Then again, if I'm in THAT much pain when I'm not training, I probably need actual painkillers, not a liniment.

Hmm very good stuff. I will order a capsaicin liniment and do some experimenting (now with that and menthol, and when my other shiat arrives with DMSO). I like a combo of DMSO/blue lotion as a preventative thing after training or before bed, I only recently tried menthol, and only once have I used it before training and I think it helped a fair amount.

Favorite so far is tiger balm.
http://www.liftinglarge.com/Tiger-Ba...s-Rub-18-Grams
EquiBlock if things are really really bad but other wise I really like the tiger balm. It's a mixture of Active Ingredients: Camphor, Menthol.
Also, I liked the capiscan roll on you can get from Wallgreens or Equiblock if really bad to put on in the morning as it lasts all day then rub on some tigerbalm before training. My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

Pain relief.
Though the only thing camphor and menthol-based liniments like Tiger Balm do is make me smell fresh.
Capsaicin inhibits pain signals from nerves in the application area. Or so they say. Personally, I think it just hurts so damned bad it makes you forget about whatever else was hurting you. But whatever; it works.
Also, Jason: The Walgreens capsaicin is actually stronger than Equiblock. More capsaicin per unit. You may think the Equiblock works better because it's suspended in an ointment that stays put better, longer. Trust me: if you put enough of that liquid capsaicin stuff on, it'll burn like your skin's on fire for about 12 hours. I put too much on my forearm once, and was waking up constantly all that night to rub aloe vera gel on it just so it'd stop burning enough so I could sleep for another 30-60 minutes.

I liked the combination and felt it helped a lot. Capiscan in the morning and a little added in the afternoon as I was on the way home from work. Then just before training add on the tigerbalm. Cover it up and feel the burn and get to training. I believe it says to not cover it up but someone I think it was Thom said to go ahead and do it and it did help though painful.

Edit: you can get the tigerbalm at walgreens too but they just carry the small little container of it. liftinglarge has the larger one you can get and it's cheaper. Also, make sure to get the ultra sport as it's the strongest of them if I'm not mistaken. My Training Journal: http://tinyurl.com/jasons-journal

Nice bench Dan, defs mirin.
Yes, it is. Mostly on their lower legs, which tend to get swelling in sport horses. Most of them also enjoy ripping off the wraps and going to roll in dirt immediately after application. Worse than dogs and more surface area to try to keep clean.
In other news, I've started making bad gear jokes - it's official, you guys are infecting my mind.training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153696161&page=51
