Made the hour drive to Chateau Garage Iron today and picked up a BWTG Swiss and Pendlay V2 bumpers. I Wish I had both in my gym inventory years ago.
Always great shooting the **** with Craig about equipment when doing a pickup - my wife wasn't too happy I missed my 2pm appointment though.
The BWTG stuff is really well made.

Just got my hands on a exm2000s by body solid. Heavy duty stuff, sucked ass to haul, surprisingly easy to set up and tighten down. Not alot of info on this via google. If anyone wants a review in a couple weeks let me know.
By the way, got it for 300 shipped to my house on CL. The leg press doubles the weight to 400lbs, and was sold as an optional attachment.

I'm almost too embarrassed to say. It's an "Amstaff" weight tree - your typical made in China stuff that I bought from Fitness Avenue before I smartened up. However, I must say that it has done a good job of holding a lot of weight. I keep 4x45, 6x35, 6x25, 4x10, 6x5, and 6,2.5 on it and she's held fine.
Not bad for a $62 POS weight tree.

[QUOTE=jtrain2323;1009681723][QUOTE=deadwoodgregg;1009680473] I sanded down everything with a wire wheel, then hit them with Rustoleum Painters Touch Flat Black...I primered the rack before paint, not the plates though. My in-laws live in Little Rock and this guy happened to live about 5 minutes from their house. I hooked the trailer up and after turkey dinner went and snatched them up. Worked out perfect!!

[QUOTE=2MoreRepz;1009685623][QUOTE=jtrain2323;1009681723] Great pickup and an awesome refinish. Did you get to those Hampton plates? I know of some weight trees around my area. I can get and hold em for you. But I guess its going to a very long drive just for the tree.

[QUOTE=hulked;1009702823][QUOTE=2MoreRepz;1009685623] I called him as soon as I read your post and he already had a guy coming to get them that afternoon, they were about 2 hours from me. I called him back the next day and that guy picked everyone of them up at $16 a 45lb plate. I didn't sleep for the next 3 nights from all the crying and pouting, where are you located?

[QUOTE=2MoreRepz;1009709203][QUOTE=hulked;1009702823] Yes, that would hurt. I have been in similar situations. Especially, once its been posted here, it goes very quick. The seller had them on CL for about 2 months before you contacted him
Are u still looking for plates? I am in Dallas, TX. I think it would be worth while to make the trip if you find something else here. PM me what you are looking for.()---() York Barbell Club #24 ()---()

[QUOTE=hulked;1009714583][QUOTE=2MoreRepz;1009709203] I'm coming your way Friday, I live in Texarkana and come to Dallas pretty often. That is where the majority of my equipment comes from. Texarkana's craigslist market for equipment is virtually non existent. Thanks for the offer, I may take you up on it sometime.

One of the best workouts I have found for rugby is tire flipping. With that in mind, I went in search of place to get a suitable tractor tire. I found the perfect place:
Front Range Tire Recycle, Inc.
5765 N. Peterson Rd.
Sedalia, CO 80135
www.frtirerecycle.com
"We have several different sizes and weights of tractor tires available for fitness training. We charge $15-$20 per tire depending on the size. You can come down to our facility M-F 8am-4:30pm to see what we have."
I went today and picked up the one in the picture for $15. They had acres of suitable tires to be had. It was worth it to get my pick of the tires. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for, and one that wasn't falling apart like many I have seen from random tire stores.
