People will get into arguments and say “I’m a home owner” like they are the CEO of Microsoft

Because most people have completely overleveraged themselves with the purchase and need to cope by letting everyone know they are now a homeowner.
Not hating on homeowners here either. I am one myself. But this is true for like 95% of them. They've tied such a large percentage of their earnings into it that it HAS to be a big deal to cope with it.
This generally holds with most purchases though. The people who brag the most about owning something are usually the ones who overextended themselves to make that purchase.

it can be indicative of MASCULINE GOOD CHARACTER. One has to practice a MASCULINE RESPONSIBILITY and DISCIPLINED habit. Hard to do that in the FACE of MONEY EATING MATERIAL Temptations like A$$AULT GUN$ and Women.
......"what are you talking about A$$AULT GUN$, what does that have to do with anything"------
easy answer: Kenosha Kyle example. What did he do with his Trump checks? Did he SMARTLY invest them for his FUTURE to grow his wealth and IMPROVE his situation? no the ManCHILD was living with his parents and LIBERALLY SPENT his TrumpChecks on an A$$AULT GUN to fulfill his GunNUT MASS SHOOTING Fantasy

Its nice to not have to worry about rent increases, moving, etc. It also sucks having to replace the roof, AC, Furnace, Fences, etc.
LMAO, No one owns their house either. Stop paying property taxes and the government will show you really quick you do not own chit.
Its a trade off, to each their own. I will say, the best part is that locked in mortgage and knowing your future costs. If you plan and budget for those higher maintance things. In a few years, rent goes up you keep winning. My mortgage is less then $1,000 for my primary dwelling. I can rent it out for $2400 all day if I wanted too. Thats a good feeling knowing I can work at McDonalds and pay my mortgage. Or have a buddy move in for $600 which is a deal for him and he pays 60% of my mortgage. I see it as it gives you more options.

OP speaks truth. I own my home, but only cause of a family death situation - it'd get lost otherwise.
The fact is you don't save that much money, lmfao!
It's the biggest cope of all for fukking losers that act like they're wearing the big boy pants now. They're not.
Let's go over what you have to pay:
Real estate tax, we'll assume 1% of value, usually more
Home insurance, we'll assume .5% of value but it's usually more
Utilities, varies but I live in a LCOL area by myself and still pay ~250 month on average. Most pay WAY more
Property maintenance, we'll assume 1% of value and plenty of your time
Ok so we're already at 3k a year just for utilities. Let's add everything else and assume you have the average home value which is 350k in US. 350*0.025= 8750. Add utilities: 11750 you have to pay in the average US house just to fukking exist, WITHOUT A MORTGAGE.
LMFAO!!!
So my home is paid off and I live in the boonies, estimated 100k value, so I pay about 5.5k just to exist. But here's the thing, I was paying even less when I rented a room in the city in a spot I liked, nice location in the middle of everything. So I'm paying more now to do house work and be in a lonely corner of earth - lmfao!!
Renting a room was cheaper and way more fun

So, my house has a private pool, private hot tub, private bar, private movie room, etc etc. And I gain equity every month and probably pay close to the same amount as the average renter (put good amount down and low %).
Every place calls themselves "Luxury Apartments", as it makes the rentards feel important, since they aren't financially smart or well off enough to be a Land Chad.
Is it almost the 1st of the month already? Rentards are coping and crying already.Last edited by TomPaine; 03-26-2024 at 04:01 PM.
