Is being miserable and craving different kinds of food all the time a common side effect. I also find that I smoke more since I started cutting my calories.

Possibly, if you are severely under eating or eating a very repetitive, bland diet.
What is your age, height, weight? How many calories a day are you eating.

Lower Libido
Feeling Cold
Poor Sleep
Excessive hunger/food thoughts
Binges
Anxiety/Depression
Short-Temper
Poor Memory
Poor Concentration
Lower Strength
Lower Stamina
