I'm in. Still interested in getting it. Still butt hurt about losing carbines. Got over losing the RPGs, since this game isn't really for it. But I will go back to being butt hurt about losing RPGs if I get sky raped by choppers every game at release.
But it just depends. BF4 is releasing new content. Hardline is out. Battlefront is expected not even a year later."Don't be envious when the grass is greener on the other side because you don't know how much crap it took to fertilize that ground.

The beta played like total ****. Not like the BF4 beta which was glitchy as all hell but still fun with solid core gameplay, the Hardline beta just feels fundamentally flawed and the core gameplay is just not there at all.
Also, the game has next to zero destruction. IMO the beta was a solid 4/10, I don't really see it improving to the point it would even reach a 7-8 even with major changes, the game just feels off.

With BF: HL they are essentially doing what Halo 5 is doing....making a faster paced shooter that plays more in the mold of a large scale CoD than BF.
From the beta I can say that it is way more fast paced than BF3 and 4, but I love fast paced shooters and thought that the slower pace of 3 and 4 were detrimental to their gameplay. The new modes are insanely fun. New weapons and gadgets like zipline and grappling hook are nice items for getting around levels in new ways. Id give the beta a solid 8.5/10
Gone are the Jets for now, not sure if they will be in a future xpac.
It's a solid game for the money. The story line in this one plays more like a detective story than your general shoot em up underdog war story, so it'll be interesting to see how that turns out.
I have it reserved on PS4, but apparently through the EA pass(only on xbox) you'll get a trial version unlocked on the 12th(5 days earlier than release) that has all multiplayer and single player features open for 10hr of gameplay.
Also if you download and play the EApass trial on xbox one you get an additional 10% off the digital copy if you preorder.8/12/2012 - 258lbs

I'm getting this game. I thought the beta was great fun. The setting is fresh and isn't a military theme. I like the cops n robbers a.k.a 'Heat' style.
The game is way more fast paced than bf4 without having to worry about tanks and planes which I prefer. I wish it was a 20 dollar add on but it's full price and I'm still picking it up.*** Mod Negged for Defending Dolph Lundgren's honor ***

That's why i like it. No more jet rape. No more tanks (even though i am a tank driver) and no more attack choppers.
Different universe, and different attitude. It really felt like Bad Company single player with the outbursts of vocals.
I think 20$ is to cheap. 60$ is to expensive for any game these days. So 40$ I would pay, and be happy with.
You kid right? I didn't have one single crash in the beta. I can't tell you how many times my client crashed in BF4 beta and in the main game after release. This beta was smooth It had 7 millions on it.
You're entitled to your opinion on the last points.
Where is the changelog for all of the stuff they changed after the beta?
I just know that they wrote a article last week about the beta success and taking into account all the feedback. They did say that they were not doing any major changes to the build in regards of gameplay. It was very relative writing, which is probably EA telling them to be very vague."Don't be envious when the grass is greener on the other side because you don't know how much crap it took to fertilize that ground.

Disliked the Alpha, liked the beta so I preordered last week. Since it is a Battlefield game, I'm not expecting much out of the campaign but I hope I'm shocked (in a good way) by it.
Conquest and Hotwire will be my main game modes. However, if I can partner up with a good group, I hope to try out/play Rescue and Crosshair.

Should've clarified, the beta ran smooth, didn't crash once, but the gameplay felt flawed to me. The hit-reg, inability to blow up thin wood walls, trucks getting stuck on a 1 foot concrete wall rather than going straight through it, just the overall gunplay/gameplay/immersion. Improving the game would be contingent on adding destruction, fixing some of the weird choke points in maps, and balancing the guns/vehicles/gameplay.
? It's not the same guys who made BF4. Battlefield Hardline was made by Visceral, this is the first time they've ever made a battlefield game. All previous BF games were made mostly by DICE, who are working on Star Wars Battlefront instead, hence why a brand new studio made BF:H.keep rep trading out of your sig line

Wasn't impressed with the beta. Should have been dlc for bf 4, not a separate game.

It wasn't bad for what it is. It's Call of Duty-flavored Battlefield in a cops-and-robbers skin.
But it's something that the community back in the day woulda put out for free, like Desert Combat or Project Reality. I'd pay $30 max, but not full price for what feels like a mod that plays like Call of Duty.US ARMY Vet crew

The pricing scheme for Hardline's been announced.
*******
Electronic Arts has confirmed details of Battlefield Hardline Premium, detailing that DLC membership program will give users two weeks' early access to four story-themed digital expansions, plus a series of bonuses, for a one-off charge of $50 (40).
The four expansion packs will each feature their own story, and come with new multiplayer maps, modes, vehicles, and other in-game content. Synopses written by EA, below, offer an outline to the four expansions:
Criminal Activity: Players have to make a name for themselves in fast-paced, highly-destructible new maps littered with small-time crime jobs. Available summer 2015.
Robbery: Take down the opposition head on and progress through key locations with major cinematic action. Available summer 2015.
Getaway: This is frantic, high-speed chases that immerse players deeper in the heist. Available fall 2015.
Betrayal: There is a rat in every operation and players will have to find out who to trust. Available winter early 2016.
As previously suggested, Premium members will be able to access this DLC two weeks ahead of general release.
The Hardline Premium package also contains four additional in-game features (it is not clear if these will be sold separately). EA describes them below:
Masks: New player masks with unique gameplay benefits tied to the theme of each mask.
Gun Bench: Provides players with the ability to visually customize their weapons and track their kills per weapon.
Competitive Play: Support for competitive play through Battlefield Hardline Premium-access only tournaments and ladders.
Legendary Status: Provides replayability of the entire progression system.
Other additions to Premium include 12 Gold Battlepacks, additional personalisation options including gun camos and ammo skins, access to double-XP, and priority position in server queues.
The Battlefield Hardline release date falls on March 17. More than seven million people played the game's beta in Early February, EA has said.
Launch platforms include PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Those who want to play the title on Xbox One can pre-load the game now.
Meanwhile, EA Access members on Xbox One can start playing Hardline on March 12, though this pre-release play period is limited to ten total game hours.
