Whats up PL brahs, first off let me say, I am not a competing powerlifter, but I love powerlifting and getting stronger (its like saying im a bodybuilder but I don't compete, aka I am basically a *******). I wasn't born for powerlifting, its just not my genetic thing, I was born to run really fast, have low % bodyfat, and been basically lean no matter what I do. I formerly played division one sports. I have extensively studied many different training techniques, (block, undulating, westside, shieko). This winter im gonna give westside a go with some of my own minor tweaks because I think Louie is off on mixing so many training variables. But I do agree with his use of bands and accommodation (or avoidance thereof). I will do a similar 1 ME day of squat and bench and 1 dynamic of the same.
Why I am adapting some things to the program: World reknown physiologist Stegeman states it best, "mixed training produces mixed results". Which is why I will be adapting some of the assistance work to be more in line with the training effects.

Looking forward to following along. Would you ever consider doing a meet? I am about to do my first in 4 weeks and I am super excited about it.

Not too sure maybe a raw meet, I mean I could probably compete in the 160s and total 3,4,4 so a little over 1100, nothing impressive but we ll see where getting back into it takes me. I never really used accommodating resistance much so it ll be good to see if it helps
