We never had batteries. We have a portable battery pack. I never once had to use double a batteries in my Xbox one or Xbox x. It lasted all counsel length and I can game 8hours a day with out it duying
They charge just like the ps controllers do. You guys have batteries also that’s why your controller batterie gets low and have to plug in
This lasted me the whole console length of last gen

I never understood why PS gamers are such fans of chitty unreliable built-in batteries that can't even hold their charge for a long time. But hey, I guess they got memes, so there you go.
Here I am with my eneloops that I can just swap out in a second, no need for keeping a multitude of controllers on hand, just playing video games and having a good time with a controller that simply works and isn't gimmicky.

For real. The chit with built-in batteries is always the chit that breaks on you or goes bad.
I think the beauty of the Xbox controller lies in it's simplicity. It's not trying to incorporate or pack in every gimmick imaginable into the controller, and it isn't over-engineered by any stretch. It's comfortable, practical, reliable, and it's focused on what it needs to do and how people use it.
