Also passed the IFA nutrition cert just didn't have enough money for it at the time and just needed the CPT in order to train people at my gym

youre better off just buying a home. One is cheeper and you can get houses that are pretty much brand new and two we have enough urban sprawling as is because a lot of people think they are too good to live in someone elses old house. no hate on you I just think you would be better off buying instead of building

That and with prices these days you could really almost double what you would get by buying an exsisting home over building.

Repo's and short sales are epidemic.

Problem is we are having troubles find anything we like....We looked at many houses and there just isn't anything out there that catchs our eye. We found a builder we like and the prices are decent. There are only a few changes we would want to do and wouldn't add much to the cost of the house (maybe 1K). New home prices are really competitive compared to pre-owned homes. Granted short sale or repo's are a different game...

Id keep looking for awhile. It would take time to build a home anyways so I dont think youre in a rush, I would just keep looking

You are right we are not in a hurry. We would like to move in July/August as we are getting married in September.

There are two homes that are new but have not sold since September/October of last year. We really like them and maybe we will try to low ball them and see if they bite.

So much to think about...Thanks for your ideas/thoughts bros!

If we live west we are looking at Waukee or if East we are thinking Ankeny....Lot prices are higher in Waukee right now vs. Ankeny. Both seem like nice towns but I am new to IA so I don't know everything

waukee is pretty nice a lot of stuck up *******s though, of course you get that anywhere lol Dont know much of ankeny never go there. I prefer my small town

Yeah there is a new YMCA right near one of the houses we really like. Seems like a lot of mid/late 20's and 30 somethings that live around there. Seemed like a decent place. Heard the schools are great too.

Totally depends on the area...building is better here...or buying a newly built home. People here are waaaaay too proud of the houses they've been living in. I love my house and like saying it's mine but wish I wouldn't have bought cuz I'd like to move but the market sucks and I couldn't sell rt now. Would love to buy an rv and live on the road!!!
