Today I woke up a little tired but still decided to go do back.
When I got in here's what happened
1) Pull ups stayed about the same as last week.
2) V-bar pulss ups droped by one.
3) BB rows went up by 20lbs and by 1 rep
4) Dead lifts went down by a couple reps
5) stiff leg deads went up by 10 lbs

Yea Dolfan somedays I'll just go in and have a great day. Other days I will go in and just feel alright and sometimes again I wont ahve a good day at all. Sometimes I'll feel like not working out lethargic or just tired go in and have a pretty good day.
Something I've found to be useful on days I am feeling a little tired or lethargic and when i dont really feel like working out is right when i get into the gym i do some wind-sprints or jumping jacks or jump rope. Gets your heart rate up and blood flowing and it just makes me feel better more in the mood to workout.

Good advice on the warm ups, everybody should do them, I usually do a moderate jog for 7 minutes, and do a few warm up sets before I hit it really hard...
Today was just weird, I droped on the V-bar pull ups, but when I hit the BB rows, the bar felt supper lite, so I packed on 20lbs more than last week. But then did some Deads and bam hit the wall again.

oooh, I see yea that is strange. I can't recall something like that happening to me. For me it's usually I stay the same, drop, or increase in everything. Were you taking longer rest periods in between sets on your different excercises? I've got a buddy who takes like 3 minute breaks in between bench sets and can put up alot, but when i actually make him use some intesnity in his workouts, he drops fast, no muscle endurance. -Sorry that really had nothing to do with it but he pisses me off when he adds alot of weight and thinks he's cool. Anyways maybe you were taking longer resperiods, such as 120 secs here, 60sec there...that could be it

actually, I did take longer than normal between sets, and that's becuz I wasn't feelin it today from the get go.
and did feel like I let my pump drop.
Back day is always the hardest workout of the week though, I really should have took the day off.
Oh well...

you bust back and Bi's the same day huh?
do you like that?
I've actually found a lot more gains when I split the two (same as chest/tri's)
I seem to burn out my bi's with all the pulls and tri's with the pressing.
Ever try spliting them up?How can you lose fat eating 6 times a day, when I keep putting on weight eating only twice a day. - CoWorker

Yep actually just switched my workout back to the old Chest/tri, back/Bi. I had been doing, Chest/Bi's, Shoulders/Tri's, Back/Traps, Legs. That worked well. But now I am bulking again and I find that doing the Chest/Tri, Back/Bi split builds more mass on my amrs since I am really blasting them. I also like Chest/Back, Legs, Shoulders, Bi/Tri split as well due to the great supersets you can do

oh yeah, i have days where everything was heavy and days where certain lifts were harder than others. i dont really worry about it if i have one day of bad lifts. i just make sure that the next time i'm going to work that muscle/muscles i get plenty of sleep the night before and eat enough. if my workouts keep getting worse and worse, then i re-evaluate what i'm doing and find the problem. i was once told you have to have bad workouts to have good workouts....true or not that's what i was told

I have tough days like that.
What I do to make up for a missed set count (or whatever) is put the weights down for a few seconds and then make up the failure with the remaining reps +.
I'm doing volume right now, so... If I fail at rep 16 on overhead press and I was looking for 19 per set that day, I put the weight down, take a couple of deep breaths and do 4 or 5 more reps so the failed set ends at a count of 20 or 21.
I do that with ALL exercises, so that I can't wriggle out of a full effort. However, if I'm so beat that I can't even bring the weights to starting position, then I just let it go.
If several workouts in a row go like this, then it is time to do something about recuperation, because obviously recuperation and adaptation is starting to fail. May even be time for a short layoff.Stats: Ugly, fat and weak.
Immediate Goal: Quit being fat.
Long Term Goal: Quit being weak.
