Hey all...
I am trying to put on mass and get larger (NOT lose fat/weight and get cut up). I am very confused on conflicting opinions on how my workout should be set up.
How many times a week should one workout each muscle group (ie: chest, back, arms, etc.?) if I am trying to get larger and not get cut up?
Lean muscle mass would be nice and not a ton of fat too

I do one muscle group a week, but you can do up to 2 for size. I have had gains in size, not so much strength. I recently read some article on t-nation and it says for size, 1-2 times a week. I generally do 1 heavy workout and then maybe one lighter one later in the week. So say when i am hitting back hard, I will in turn receive a light bicep workout.
My split is:
Sunday- Rest
Monday- Biceps, Triceps, Forearms
Tuesday- Quads, Calves, Abs
Wednesday- Delts, Traps
Thursday- Upper Back
Friday- Hamstrings, Lower Back, Calves

Fellas, forget about training each muscle group more than once a week if you are wanting to gain SIZE!!
Many guys overlook the REST factor which is an important factor in muscle growth. Muscles don't grow in the GYM, they grow in the Kitchen and when you''re resting them.
So once a week is plenty. And for the LOVE of GOD, don't hammer your amrs everyday! They get worked out enough with the larger muscle groups!

I work arms x2 a week. One is a light workout and the other is a heavy workout.
I do abs about 3-4 times a week too...█♣█
