Because something like abortion is a huge issue to me and I wouldnt support anyone who is for it. Id never vote for someone who supports abortion and if they do then i dont really care about their other views because for me the issue of killing babies is more important than other things. Your speaking for me though, im there are a few main issues that decide what party i vote for. Im not gonna vote for just anyone in that party im gonna vote for who i think is the best man for the job.
Im trying to say if a canidate supports something im strongly against like abortion than yes that automatically means I wont vote for them even if they have a good stance on other issues. Because I dont want to support them even if they have good views on other matters.
But i dont want this to turn into a abortion debate or any debate for that matter im jw whos voting for who, and if people wanna say why thats totally cool...but if you wanna debate make a thread for it.

Wow, go to hell. I'm about to go to college this fall and college is pretty fu*king expensive, why wouldn't I want financial aid? I'd rather pay higher taxes than get some huge student loans and have a huge debt to haunt me. BTW, I picked a decent major, and I'm going to be working, too, doing a work-study, so I'm not getting money for free, either.

Well i want the republicans to have office. And to do this we need Giuliani to win the primary. It will either be Barak Obama or Hilary Clinton who will win the primary for the democrats and the only republican capable of beating either is Giuliani.
Fred Thompson is my favorite canadate. He is tough on the boarders and stands by most any conservatve value, however, would not be able to beat out the oppisition, let alone win the primarys.

Ok....and I'm saying that you're wrong thinking that because you're young, current healthcare and tax decisions won't effect you. You made it pretty clear in 2-3 different post that you felt that way.
This has nothing to do with only voting for one party or the other. It has to do with thinking current things don't effect you because you are 17.

I really like Ron Paul the more I hear about him. I dont agree on him with Iraq, but I like his stance on border control and on other domestic issues. I'll do my best to get him past the primaries, but I think Rudy will end up getting the GOP bid, which wouldn't dissapoint me, as I dont want Billary or Osama in office.

Definetly agreed on Ron Paul. He is the best candidate in a long time in my opinion.
I am basically the opposite on the other part of your post though. The ONLY candidate who would cause me to vote Democrat at this point is Giulliani. I don't want a guy who was a below average mayor before 9/11 to be our President. I don't understand how he is leading the Republican polls anyway, he is barely even a Conservative.

True Giuliani is socially liberal. But as i stated he is the only person who has a chance to beat Hilary or Obamba. Giuliani has stated that he will not make a federal madate to make Hi-cap weapons illegal. He believes in letting states regulate themselves(small government) and not letting the federal government force their views on you. Also, imagine what hilary and obama would love to do to the 2nd admendment. Much worse than Giuliani's mere lack of support.
This is also his view on all of his other socially liberal ideas(gay marage, abortion, stem cells). Let the people decide for themselves(democracy ya) and keep everything at a state level. Democrats are for Federal Regualtions and taxations of every kind you can imagine. Health care, schools, minimum wages, income taxes, you name it. Get ready for socilism in America its a comin.

Name one democrat running for office that shares your views on your signature. You will be voting republican every time yourself. Unless of course Ron Paul runs as an independent after he looses the primary, then you will just throw away your vote. I guess you already will be doing that by voting for someone who doesnt have a chance at making much more than a dent in the primarys. I agree with Ron completely and he is a GREAT American. I am just keeping reality close by.

Deathwish pretty much summed my response up. He's the only one that the American public knows and can relate a memory of a tragic event to. When you think Rudy you think 9/11 strong point. I like Rudy, he seems like a good guy, but I think Paul is better for our country. However, I dont think the majority of the public is educated and informed enough about Paul to nominate him, but I really hope it happens.
Srsly, do you want Hillary and socialism coming to America?S&P Crew

"We need a federal law that bans all assault weapons, and if in fact you do need a handgun you should be subjected to at least the same restrictions -- and really stronger ones -- that exist for driving an automobile."
"The United States Congress needs to pass uniform licensing for everyone carrying a gun. Congress must do more to prevent a tragedy like the one that happened at the Empire State Building from ever happening again."

Ron Paul seems to be the best candidate. At this point though, as much as it pains me to admit it, he seems to be a wasted vote right now due to him not being a mainstream candidate like Obama, Clinton or Giuliani.
He needs to get more mainstream coverage. He needs to get his name out there."Courage isn't an absense of fear but a means of dealing with it."-Nelson Mandela

I don't really want anyone other than Ron Paul at this point. But given the choice betwene an inept Senator and an inept Mayor, I'll take the Senator. Although I probably would vote 3rd party anyways if it's Hilary and Rudy since Paul may run for the Constitution party if he doesn't get the Republican nomination. So I guess it's a moot point.
Bottom line is, Giulliani vs. Clinton would be the worst presidential choice in history(yes worse than Kerry-Bush)
