    Post-Workout sugar while cutting?

I have just started my contest prep keto diet eleven weeks out. I have heard that taking in sugar post-workout is alright for the diet bacause the sugar doesnt get stored as fat. Right now im taking surge which has 50g carbs (mostly sugar) and 25g protein. Is this alright to maintain my muscles while still getting ripped?

the 50 grams of carbs should be perfect, but unless you weight 80 pounds I would suggest more whey. If you are 160-190 then 45 grams should be sufficient.

    Targeted keto diet?

To answer the OP's question, you don't have a biological requirement for carbs to maintain muscle while leaning out. Nor will carbs guarantee that you don't lose muscle.

To prevent muscle loss, your caloric deficit must not be too great, you must eat sufficient protein, and you must train hard. Whether you consume carbs is not a factor.
