i read in a book in b&n written by body builder in the 70's , mike or mark martez or somthing like that , that all u need is to workout the body once in 21 days, as it takes 21 days for ur body to fully recover.
in his book he was talking about 2000 calorie diet + creatine with sugar and that is it. looking at his pics , man he was a freak.
what is ur take on that.

Mike Metzner.
By the end of his career/life, he was pushing a lot of things to the extreme. With training it was about how little you need to train with how high intensity.

That is too low of a frequency for most people. If you are RETARD strong, and by that I mean 495 X 20 on squats and a little more on deads, that might be somewhat feasible.
I love low frequency, abbreviated training, but he is taking things to an extreme merely to get your attention and stand out in the crowd.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that hitting a bodypart every 12 days is scrapping the bottom of the low-frequency barrel, and that most don't need to scrape any further.
I think switching to a 9 day rotation, split into 2 days, will be a great change of pace and an enlightening experience for many here, at least for 2-3 rotations-to function as a deload.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
