I'm borderline severely overweight (260 or 265lbs at 5'7). So, I'm not eating today to see if I just generally feel better compared to stuffing my face full of pizza or a subway sandwich.

Don't just not eat bruh.......Just eat healthy and move more during the day. Once you get the hang of that, maybe try fasting 1 day a week.
If you just randomly out of nowhere decide to just not eat when you're used to packing down 4000-5000 cals/day of processed foods and chit, you're going to feel like absolute chit.
Losing weight isn't about dieting, it's about making sustainable changes in your life relating to diet & exercise.
