Cars aren't great toys. This is coming from a guy that has one.
If you want a new car follow the 20, 3, 8 rule. Prevents you from doing stupid stuff like in the OP.
Stop it....
4x4 doesn't help you stop. Tires do... Which you need and can probably get for under $600.
Now there are a few times a year a truck will help with the snow, but this argument is still about your fuking toy.Finance Degree - USAF INTEL - IIFYM - Injured Crew - KTM XCW300 - Single Track Trail Rider - NRA Supporter - Shunned from MFC - Libertarian - Pragmatist

lol @ buying a vehicle now.
Clearly you never got personal finance classes in public school.
just bend over. I can't fathom any idiot wanting a car payment over $500. Have fun paying half your salary on a vehicle!Weight Loss: Go carnivore or keto combined with 16/8 IF. It'll create easy calorie deficit. Meat is good and heals, stop being lied to.

Thread reads like a Dave Ramsey call.
1. make repairs needed so corrolla is safe
2. begin saving money to buy next car
3. when enough money is saved, buy USED car cash
You didn't wake up today and hate this car, you have for a long time. You shouldve been saving money in that time to replace it in a financially responsible manner. Avoid interest like the plague.**Florida Crew**

90 months is over 20 years. You'll be paying for the car long after it dies.

$2k down lol
90 month financing lol
"not safe to drive"...needs tires and some dash lights on....lol
Put new tires on the Rolla.....figure out the dash lights, sell for 10k.....add $5k to it and pay cash for something.
Just imagine paying $550 (which is probably highly optimistic) for 7+ years.
I've got 3 vehicles for a total value of like 65k. paid cash for 2 of them and 1 is financed -60 months @ 0% bought in 2020. I couldn't say no. Don't be stupid.

There are a dozen ways to do it, and the first auto is the most difficult. But once you achieve that, drive it a few years then write a check for the difference on a new one.
It's pretty damn satisfying when the dealer asks you what you want your payment to be and you say "zero". They literally don't know how to respond.☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.
