I have a bad memory these days. Back when I was into lifting and some heavy cardio I used all kinds but for a good 5 years ON 100% Whey 5 lb containers were my favorite. They also had an egg protein powder but I just ate 3-12 eggs daily depending so I didn’t need it. They had soy protein but I recalled an article in one of those workout magazines that pointed out how it could increase estrogen and horror stories of developing bitch tits. I did use their casein protein powder. At bedtime mostly. And I set my alarm back then to wake at 3am every morning to chug down another casein protein shake to be anticatabolic until breakfast. Keep in mind this was the old broscience beliefs. The sports supp scene I’m sure is drastically different now but talking old school here. Remember Arnold training every body part 3x a week in his day. So that’s what everyone else who followed lifting back then was doing. Lol.
1. ON 100% Whey
2. Muscle Milk RTD Shakes
3. ON 100 % Casein
4. MuscleTech Strawberry Cheesecake protein bars
5. Met RX protein powder/bars
Those would be the top 5 protein products I’d go to and became staples in my diet.BLM (Brock Lesnar Matters)

It used to be MyProtein before they started charging $400/11 lb bag.
ON Gold was always good, always mixed very well. I stuck with chocolate and vanilla flavors as the other ones tasted too artificial (imagine that). Vitaminshoppe has their ******** line that is most identical to ON, and they have sales every so often.
I do recall bodybuilding.com once had a sale on some protein blend called Tru-Tein and I got the pumpkin pie flavor. Lol that **** was really good.
Aside from that I just get whatever is on sale; a lot of protein powder out there is really good enough for the gains which you are about to receive. I get unflavored stuff and put frozen berries or PB fit into it for flavor.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

Yes, about a decade ago (give or take) some dude did some genuine in-his-garage testing of a toooon of different proteins, and found that many (most) were significantly frauding their nutrition labels.
ON Gold (at that time) was the best bang-for-your-buck. It had approximately 75% of advertised protein content, did not contain any "banned" substances, heavy metals, sugary fillers, and was actually accurate on the content of Isolate vs Concentrate.
At that time, even with "only" 75% of advertised protein, the true protein:cost ratio was effectively the best, so anyone who wanted good protein content without any other risks/problems would be smart to buy ON and just add some extra powder to their shake to reach their intended protein target.
The vast majority of other brands were way worse in terms of protein content, had tons of added sugars, fukk-all Isolate vs Concentrate ratios, different substances and metals and chit...basically complete garbage.
There were a small number of brands that actually were higher quality. Protein in the 80 to low 90 percent range of advertised, also no added garbage, etc., but those were considerably more expensive than ON. I believe MyProtein was one of them, but as others in this thread have said it was (still is) quite expensive.
All these years later I have no idea where they all stand, but I've heard that (in general) quality has improved for the most part across the board.MISC Haxball Crew

I like Animal Protein and honestly Dynamatize makes some good flavors. Gaspari Nutrition used to make the best tasting chocolate tho.
