Yeah, I think the guy asked for the poster to spot him on the pec deck. Hilarious! (although if someone asked me to, I wouldnt have said "F*ck off!" like the poster did) lol

You are a gym idiot when your core session is the following;
10x crunches
5 minutes with shirt up posing in mirror
10x crunches
5 minutes with shirt up posing in mirror...
and repeat

Gym idiots can also be found outside the gym. "I just started lifting not long ago, but I dont want to get TOO big." YEAH, you might want to be careful, man!

I love the guy who talks about being a black belt in X, Y, and Z, has MMA potential and how he used to be an all star running back in high school. Also mentions how he used to bench 350, squat 450, dead 500 as a sophomore in H.S. but got injured and that's why hes a fat tub of lard now. Currently he is around my age which is near the peak of physical strength and T production for males but he cant rep 135 more than 10 times on any compound exercise.
Bench 8 x 205
Squat 8 x 225
SLDL 8 x185
Overhead 8 x 115
BB ROW 8 x 115
bb curl 8 x 70

My own personal gym idiot story: I used to be a cardio bunny. Also, if I saw a female cardio bunny going balls to the walls I would have to be at least 1.0mph faster and go 15-30 minutes longer than her. Mind you, I used to do cardio every day and after workouts.

Squat 8 x 225
SLDL 8 x185
Overhead 8 x 115

I know a lot of physical therapists that recommend it to increase stability. After breaking my ankle, mine told me to do squats and lunges on them to build up strength I had lost during rehab while increasing stability. I've noticed I'm a lot more balanced now, especially noticeable when I'm snowboarding/wakeboarding. Not saying its agreat core workout, but maybe those dudes had legitimate reasons for using them??

I love those guys that come to the gym with friends and load the bench press machine with as much as they could possibly move an inch up and down and claim that is their bench press max to show off. It is very entertaining at times during breaks to watch stuff like this.
Bench press max: 225 x 5
Deadlift Max: 435
Powerclean Max: 185lbs
Squat Max: 285 x 5
Currently on a cut!
Trying to get to 175lbs @ 8% body fat

Better yet,
Dropping dumbbells after EVERY single set.
DBs absolutely break... eventually.
Staring at someone... in the eyes... while they are in the middle of a set.

I hate it when people crowd around the rack. The typical problem is there is a machine maybe 5 feet from the right edge of the squat rack. But the other people crowd around this machine, so much that they infringe upon where is a safe place to stand while squatting. It's like hey buddy if you don't want to take 250 lbs moving at a decent rate of speed to your back, then gtfo.

There's 2 guys at my gym that are hilarious. They grab a 100 lb barbell to curl. Throw it up with their back for the first two reps. Then that becomes too hard so they start going into a squat and throw it up after exploding with their legs. They do this like 2 times grunting and screaming all along. Then they talk to each other for about 30 minutes and repeat.

Saw some girl walk in the gym lookin like a straight hooker, bright red lipstick, hair done, hoops, miniskirt, and to top it off 4 or 5 inch (dunno) heels. I just had to stop and ask someone if he had a camera to tape her if she got on the treadmill.

Seen an older guy today probably around 50 years old, 230lbs, benching on the smith machine while on a swiss ball. He had 135 on the bar, no safety stops and he would start every rep with his upper back on the ball with the bar at his chest with his legs straight out. As he pressed the bar up he would lift his legs until they were at a 45 degree angle with his body. He would roll slightly forward every time so when he had his legs and arms up his whole upper body was off the ball, just his head/neck. Then roll back as he got back to his starting position. I was fully expecting to see him flip over but he managed to get a good 8 reps
