I don't see how Whittaker beats Adesanya. He's just on another level with his striking ability, ability to keep distance and does have power. Whittaker is not known as a grappler and Adesanya has shown to have good defense, at least against fighters that are of his weight class. Whittaker is also a bit of a tweener in that he's not really a big middleweight so good luck trying to get through the reach and movement of Adesanya.
He'll probably have to take a few hits to dish some and hope he hits cleaner/more powerful. But whittaker fought kinda rushed and reckless last time and through winging overhand rights which was uncharacteristic of him. Problem with being patient at the same time too is that Adesanya can just pick him apart and his more than content with landing jabs and kicks from far. He'll have to cut off the cage, put him on the backfoot and probably try and turn things into a dirty boxing match against the cage.
