Why does almost every girl these days have a crazy backstory?

The women I've dated and encountered recently have either some sort of a diagnosed mental illness, have been raped, have been abused, cheated on or all of the above and they project their craziness onto me.

They usually reveal these things when they're drunk or the more I spend time with them, but on a day to day basis, they seem like normal, high functioning individuals.

I'm a Christian man and all I want is a normal girl with no mental issues. But even church girls are no different than normal girls.

The more I get older, the more I come to grips of the possibility that I will be single for life. Not that marriage is a good idea nowadays anyway, but still. Is there even one remotely normal girl out there?

Age is not a factor either because one girl is 18 and the other ones are mid 20s to early 30s.
