I don't understand the value of Layers 1 tokens like Solana, Cosmos and Polkadot. I have limited experience but it doesn't seem like gas is used on those platforms like it is on Ethereum. The value I see is in the non-Ethereum L1s are the projects building on top of them. Especially Cosmos. The defi stuff you can do on Cosmos is complex af but exciting as well. But that's attributable to the projects building on Cosmos.

What's the value in SOL? The only thing these Layer 1 tokens have value for, from what I've experienced, is as governance tokens. Unless you are fully vested in the technology and know what all the proposals are about...that **** is boring and no newbie is going to even begin to deep dive into that stuff.

People who have been around long enough remember what happened to NEO,EOS,OMG,Raiden. Some of these tokens are still around but they are just getting the zombie pump treatment. Some people have been holding onto those tokens for 4 years and are just now breaking even. They are just now into profit in the middle of a bull market. Those are just the ones who didnt cut their losses either. Imagine holding that chit for 4 years and theres never a single notable development. Hepatitis sounds more appealing.

i need to dig into the cardano platform. not necessarily ADA itself because over time i have found that im going to monster gains, so of course my risk profile has changed

i have to believe that there is going to be explosions that happen for some tokens on that platform. somebody mentioned "cardstarter" the other day, so im going to look into that. i know absolutely nothing about it.
then in terms of defi, of course i'll be glued to the screen to figure out what they have going on in that area

Now THIS is a good early call. Give everyone time to research and get in position. Not after the coin has fuking pumped 500% in a week. Did some research on it, should get some real nice gains over the next 45 days. I have a nice stack of CRO i'll be able to pull out of staking in 7 days. I was going to put it into a 20%APY earning pool, but I think i'll dump it in CXO until the end of september. Take those profits and go back to CRO staking.

That being said I have very little knowledge about NFTs and am only assuming there needs to be a third party besides the Ethereum blockchain for NFTs to 'work'. Or at the very least a platform to simplify the process of NFTing your asset.
