Something slipped under my left rib while squatting

Been doing pretty well with my programming lately but yesterday was squatting and at the bottom of my lift as I was coming up I could feel something slip out from under my left rib which felt like a sprain. I immediately stopped the rep and feel fine today in terms of doing the squat position however twisting my torso to the left is painful and it feels like an ache when I do.

Weird because I've had a constant niggle in my lower left back for ages which seems to have dissipated now that I have this strain in my side.

Any idea on what this could potentially be and pointers during a squat I should adopt.

It doesn't hurt to breathe, sneeze or cough and I seem to be fully mobile.

You may have actually slipped a rib. Google/read up on it and see if you think that may apply.

Think it may have been a pull of the QL as when I brace hard, everything seems to stay in place.

Just bought myself a belt as well to help the brace.
