Tom Mutaffi's PPL-3 Day Split does not have enough volume

    Hi guys

After having followed TheViking1992's 4 day upper/lower split for several months now, I needed something else because it is just too taxing for me - both physically and mentally. I then decided to switch back to Tom Mutaffi's PPL-3 Day Split. Coming from Viking's routine, the PPL split seems to have far too little volume. I am by no means exhausted at the end of the workout (it was always the opposite when I did TheViking's routine).
So my question now is: Is there another 3 day push/pull/legs routine that has more volume than Tom Mutaffi's PPL workout? Or what would you guys suggest me to do?

I am glad for any suggestions.
    Best regards!

PPL training splits should be run 6 days/week for better frequency. Can you only do 3 days /week?

I am not that motivated to go 6 times. I cannot even keep 4 days/week. That's why I decided to do a 3 day split.

There's some 3 day options but they're more likely to be full body workouts. 531 has some 3 day options and the concept is fairly customizable to increase or decrease volume. Could also just switch to vikings 3 day or fierce 5 3 day. If you're finding your current program too taxing both physically and mentally then you probably shouldn't be doing more volume anyways.

the viking 4 day was too much, tom's 3 day is not enough. I might try the vikings 3 day then.
    Thanks for your answer.

Or maybe another option: how about adding 1 more set to every exercise or almost every exercise of Tom Mutaffi's routine? I know that one should not alter a pro-routine. But if I were to add one set to each exercise, or at least to the accessory exercices, would that be a dumb idea? ^^

If you're going to add sets I would add it to the 2 set exercises first and see how that goes.
