Just sold half of my SNAP calls for a three bag profit. It's had a great run so far and I still see plenty of upside, but never a bad idea to just take profits here and there.

^ still made the correct move imo bro, you stuck to the game plan, didn't get greedy and took fast gains. Great move, you're doing it right! + it coulda gone down just as fast, pretty volatile stock right therre lately...
You could always put up a stop loss too, that enabled me to get larger than normal returns a few times this year i.e. 37% on a 5 day trade
Where my UGAZ brahs @!!!!!!!!!!
Selling @ 9.50ish or might throw in another stop loss
CAN weed stocks rallying again!!!!! OH yeahhhh babyyyy!!!!!Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

Things are slowly, very slowly, starting to go in the other direction now. My site got the approval for a $250m co-generation plant this past year which seems to have reversed the purse tightening mentality.
All mega-projects are still dead and most likely will remain that way. We currently have a fairly anti-business provincial & federal governments which is causing most companies to shift capital elsewhere. I don't suspect we will see another boom for years, if at all. Every company in the oil sands has decided to 'Design one, build many', where they expand by building small expansions rather than big projects. Most capital expenditures right now are only the projects that have to be built due to new gov regulations, lease agreements, or maintenance needs.
In Alberta we have our last two big projects (Suncor's Fort Hills and CNRL's Redwater Refinery) coming online at the end of this year and early next year. After that there is nothing besides maintenance turnarounds and smaller expansion projects. I can't see the market returning to balance until ~2020.
Our newest asset, Kearl Lake, is a blackhole. Upstream producers are bleeding money at these prices. Doesn't help that we're severely handicapped because of our pipeline issues.Power Engineer Crew

Maybe PM are set to collapse as economies now seem to be picking up a lot of steam and/or big money is now flowing out of PM into btc.

Did y’all see this about the Senate tax bill? If they don’t get rid of this in the house I will not be happy.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/small-i...sal-1512988201
“Under the Senate’s $1.4 trillion tax overhaul, investors would lose the ability to choose which shares they can sell to reduce a position. Instead, investors selling partial stakes in a company would have to unload their oldest shares first, a process known as selling on a “first-in, first-out” basis.”325/440/545

I usually sell everything when I exit a position anyways and i'm in Canada so whatever.
It does seem retarded tho.
I'm trying to think of worse case scenario....
buy company 100 shares at 80 dollars.
company drops to 40, you buy another 100 shares.
200 shares, cost base of 60.
lets say company goes up to 65 and you want to sell only 100 shares. you're forced to sell 80 cost block.
leaving 6500 in cash. and 100 shares at 40.
Doesn't seem that great... or does it not make that much of a difference? They're definitely making it more complicated and annoying. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told you're a god or a total bastard. The iron always kicks you the real deal. No wait. The worst would be the opposite of that. forced to sell the 40 dollars shares at 65 and left bagholding the 80 dollar block.

Yep. Would impact those who bought shares low then bought more as the share price goes up.
EDIT:
12 hour day just got home. My 170 Apple calls are nearly triple bagz and my 175's are nearly break even and that is without any news on tax reform whatsoever. Might sell tomorrow at open and rebuy for week before or week after christmas. Seems tax reform isn't likely to hit Trump's desk till potentially the 22nd. Not a bad dayLast edited by RobParks2M; 12-11-2017 at 07:20 PM.
