    Gaspari Nutrition GlycoFuse log by aramirezjr

    Firstly would like to thank the folks at Gaspari Nutrition, especially Zachattack43 and Alec for being selected for this log.

    A little about the product:

    GlycoFuse contains 25g pure highly branched cyclic dextrin per serving to accelerate performance and glycogen loading. Clinically studied in real athletes, GlycoFuse is loaded with electrolytes and is sugar and gluten free.




    Got this really nice package that I took out for a nice back day ride on Monday (Lemon Ice flavor)


    Scoop was pretty large and more importantly the powder was very fine. So much so that when I put hand in doing the famous…find the scooper…I big cloud of white powder came out of the container lol



    Mixed in right away although some looked like it was stuck to the top of the container, eventually after the second round of water in the shaker it all disappeared



    The taste reminded me of the old powdered Country Time lemonade. It was sweet, yet hints of sour. This first workout I took it as a pre along side my normal pre workout. The draw back to this was large in take of liquids before hitting the gym = lots of visits to the restroom in between sets. But overall, upon hitting the first few sets of barbell rows, felt a nicer pump than usual (I use bulk agmatine to add to pre's), muscles felt fuller, and thought the workout I did notice quicker recovery and was able to go a lot longer into workouts without feeling tired.

    For Tuesday's workout I used Glycofuse as an intra and this I think shined for me. It was chest day and so I did not want to be hitting restroom like I did on Monday. Put it in my gallon container and filled it about 1/4 of the way. The flavor was a little light so next time I might use 1 1/2 scoops just so that I am able to fill to normal amount. Again, was able to push through higher reps without getting tired, and even when the younger kids started to get tired I was still going. Also, really liked how much fuller my pecs felt. I used to get this same feeling when I ate pop tarts pre workout, but unfortunately I had to stop as that was hitting into my macro's and my weight loss attempt.

    So last night was legs night. Wednesdays we get to the gym around 9:30pm instead of 10pm since legs we usually do a lot more reps etc.

    So again I wanted to take the Glycofuse preworkout. It actually tastes real nice with fruit punch pre. Also, took a little baggy scoop for my buddy to give a try doing our workout.



    He was raving about it at the end of our workout at midnight. Saying same as I do which is that you can push yourself for a longer period of time, usually by around 11:15 or so we are really pushing ourselves as legs is our heavy night.
    So we hit legs hard....between leg presses (of which last 2 sets are drop sets from 10 plates to 4 plates doing so in increments of 2). We started warming up with leg extensions superset with seated leg curls. Then hit leg presses, then front squats, 3 sets of squats, cable leg presses with constant tension, and finished off the night with farmer walks.

    Again, the Glycofuse mixed really well with no lasting residue. Within first few sets I could feel muscles were getting fuller and felt a slight pump (this time I did not take agmatine). But over all Glycofuse for me shines in the longevity in which you can take your workouts. Tomorrow I will try with cardio during the day and see how much it helps there.

    Planning on having the banana today as soon as I get home I have tried and love the chocolate. Often Myofusion chocolate protein is one of the few chocolate proteins I do keep on hand. Wife cutting my stash down a bit as I got too many open proteins (so she says) lol.

    I understand that. I try to only have 2 proteins open at a time. Right now I have 3.

    So this weekend I tried the Myofusion Banana Cream and C&C and both are excellent.

    Taste on the C&C was more towards the cream side and tasted really nice. The Banana Cream was EXCELLENT and by far my favorite of all the samples (got the strawberry and chocolate at the event this weekend). All had excellent mixabity with no clumping at all.
    Best of all this weekend was that I got to meet Mr Gaspari himself at the EXN Event in Broward County. Funny thing was that we headed up north for a flag football game hosted by the Miami Dolphins up in Davie, and when we were heading back home, convinced wife to swing by. Got to meet a bunch of the Gaspari team alonq with others. And the Aminolast which my daughter liked so I ended up buying a couple of containers.

    Now back to the regularly scheduled program: Glycofuse

    So now I have been adding 1 1/2 scoops to my intra gallon container that I fill up about 1/2 way...


    Must say that this is the best way for me to have Glycofuse. I can feel fuller muscles throughout more of my workout and I also notice that I can get more reps in as long as I take small breaks to recover. Also, tried it on my cardio session and Glycofuse really shined there. Was able to hit 45 min on the treadmill and then hit bike for another 20 min and did not feel the usual sore legs afterwards. Also, was nice to sip on this and did not feel full etc like when I eat bagels etc pre workout. For all those people out there, you do not need to fear carbs, just learn to use them to your advantage

    Ok so today was chest day....And I have to say we hit it hard!! We had heck of a bench press session of 20 reps of 135lbs 2 sets of those, then 185lbs for 10 reps, 225 for 6 reps, 275lbs for 4 reps, and finally 315 for 1 rep...and due to the extra carbs we had due to the Glycofuse, we still felt like we needed to hit is a bit hard and did 10 reps at 185lbs, 1o reps at 135lbs and finally pause presses at 95lbs.

    Then we did incline dumbbell presses, cable declines, and peck decks. And I have no chest soreness so I know that Glycofuse definitely kicked in intra. Really enjoy taking it intra as in between sets it helps me recover much faster. And again...nothing left in container and great mixability. Basically 1 1/2 scoops in my half gallon is perfect!

    Ok so been using it Intra at 1 1/2 scoops and I am sold on it. Been able to sustain more reps and higher weights than I ever have. All the while I have not had to have a carb load before hitting the gym which is great as I do not get that full feeling etc. Last night hit PR for Squat of 385lbs and night before hit bench PR of 275lbs which are huge for me

    Well approaching the end of my 60 serving container of Glycofuse and have to say that I have enjoyed every bit. The taste is on point and enjoyable as an intra. Also, I have tried workouts without it during the logging and have noticed a big difference in endurance and soreness the next day. I am sold on Glycofuse and have ordered 2 containers myself. I am going to try the unflavored next mixed in with Gatorade as an intra to see what results I get out of that. I think I have about 3 days worth left and will keep the log going.

    Yeah...wait till you see pic from tonight My tub I think has couple of servings left as I went on mini vacation last week. I got to try some Strawberry Kiwi and am hooked on that flavor too.

    Well last night back night was the last scoop in the container...BUT.....I was so impressed early on that I ordered two tubs:



    But I kinda wish I would have ordered the unflavored to try and see how I could mix in with different items. That will be next order!

    This is a one of a kind product that I have highly recommend to my friends at the gym. It is one of those products that you do see instant results from. It has been proven time after time that carbs are essential for weight training, and with Glycofuse you get so much more. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for that extra push.
