I'm half and half, though I've never lived in the US. I visit constantly.


1.) People don't know that I'm not American, when I go to car meets 'n junk I'll bring a huge flag, but for social stuffs, not at all.


2.) Everyone is different in different ways. The US is quite segregated, people are radically different from city to city, state to state.


3.) Yes, Canadians do the double-sorry thing where you weren't looking where you were going, and I bumped into you or almost. Hold doors too much, etc.


4.) If you're trapped in a long line in McDonald's and you try and chat up someone who isn't looking into their cellphone, etc. In Canada its like WTF is wrong with you!! In the US, most places it's called normal.


5.) If there's every table is full (@ fast food) I feel like in the US you sit down at one of those tables that has four chairs at it and only one dude there, and it's cool. In Canada, you stand around looking sad and then someone will eventually make eye contact with you and invite you to share "their table."

I played both betas and enjoyed it. I was going to buy a preorder package until they made the OW-PvP changes. Now since ganking isn't really an option until 45, I'll probably just wait for a few patches and see what happens.

Went on a Mediterranean cruise a couple years ago. The French seems to stick their noses up at us, but everyone else was remarkably nice. Couldn't have felt more welcomed in Italy and Spain. Somewhat off the beaten path in Italy as well (outskirts of Genoa and Palermo, Sicily, not just Rome). Met a couple from Denmark who were pleasant as well. Ironically, the only other Americans we saw on the cruise were an obnoxious self-righteous couple whose chit didn't stink. Ended up spending most of the cruise chilling with a couple from England.

When I went overseas to Europe/Middle east, there was tons of graffiti all over the place saying chit about Americans (Go back yanks, fuk off Americans, Americans are murderers). But when we walked around town, no one gave us chit.

Also had one of my buddies get really drunk and basically tell some middle eastern guy to go back to their country, even though we're already in their country. Middle eastern brahs did nothing, just stared like scared sheep.

never had hate about being an American in another country, but i've only ever been to Iceland, the UK, and Belgium. Actually made a bunch of Swedish friends in Belgium from being American because they were wearing NYPD hats and I was like "oh you guys from NY?" and they weren't, but they loved it there and had vacationed there recently.

When My wife and I were in Rome, we went a restaurant. We ordered our food and it came with a salad and everything was fine. The waiter knew we were American and brought our salad before the main course. There was a couple sitting beside us, and the woman got a disgusted look on her face and told her husband " Look at the stupid Americans, eating there salad first" and some other rude **** in Italian. I knew she was talking to us cause she was looking dead at us. Little did she know my wife speaks Italian and is Italian, and responds to her and calls her out on her rudeness. The husband/boyfriend or whatever looks at his partner and in english says " your an embarrassment to me" throws his napkin on the table and leaves. Would rep Italian bro in real life.

It had 25% xp boost from cash shop only in a game that has no level cap.

It had horse resets used to create a god tier horse from cash shop only.

It had costumes that gave you in game stats from cash shop.

It had costumes that removed your name being visible from cash shop only.

It had underwear that gave you stats from cash shop only.

It had pets with varying uses such as looting, spotting enemies, etc from cash shop.

Did they get rid of all of this in a buy to play game?

I can't understand why anyone would purchase a buy to play game that had these elements, but if they got rid of all of that, I'll look at it again because as I said, the combat is good.

It went too far when I noticed pvp guilds that were only accepting people who bought the costumes with in game stats and name hiding.

I went to a friend's wedding in Germany and met a bunch of his friends.
Everyone was nice for most of the night.
