EDIT: I really like that you can search for villages to attack without breaking your shield. Very nice change. Not sure I'm a fan of getting rid of TH sniping. That means I have to redesign my base, which is always a pain. ha

I am surprised it took this long for them to get to this - they seem to push trophies over all else. More than anything, it's the requirement to deploy 50% of a full army.

Theoretically you could put 30% of your base unprotected, and maybe people will start using a bunch of barbs to just take out the unprotected buildings.

Are they still going to offer trophies for a TH?

If so, I don't see the need to move it inside. I break my shield a lot anyway, and I hardly ever sit on much loot as I am mainly upgrading walls right now.

If I need an upgrade, I try to play until I have it.

I break my shield a lot during the work day cause I run 5-6 attacks throughout the day as a little break. 99% of people attacking me, snipe my TH. I don't do it for the shield, I did it to protect whatever loot I did have.

If you can still get some trophies for a TH snipe, I am gonna keep mine outside- I think people in the Crystals are so eager to trophy push, that nabbing a handful without effort is worth it. Especially if there isn't much loot to score.

Yes - you still get trophies if you snipe a TH. However, the defending village will not get a shield if someone snipes the TH anymore. If you leave your TH on the outside you will lose a ton of trophies overnight because everyone will be sniping your TH and you won't get a shield.

I would think you'd have to log in to reset your TH though. The buildings don't recover until you visit to clear it back up, so the next guy to come along will see the TH already destroyed.

That's a good point. Although I think in the announcement it said the future sneak peeks will definitely want to make you defend your TH, so we'll see what's coming up. I wonder if items like buildings and traps will automatically recover.

I'd love to see them add a "war win bonus" when your village successfully defends against an attack.

Uh, lots of stuff.

No more TH snipes. The TH will not be worth a shield. In fact, the TH will will have 1/5 of your gold/elixir that's available from storages in a raid (TH9+) as well as 1/4 of your available dark elixir. I think it's all or nothing though as in I think you have to destroy the TH and then you get everything that's in it. TH11 and it's stuff of course. Freeze lvl1 down to TH9. Village guard. Shields and attacking with a shield changes.

Umm no... ever find an abandoned base that has been pump raided and has hedgestones everywere. If you next to a base that has been attacked you don't see destroyed buildings.

When your shield expires your buildings go back up for attacks even if you haven't logged back in.

ETA: Also trap re-arm cost dropped by like 75%. We know TH11 will get level 7 minions and level 3 witches along with the grand warden, we don't know what else on offense yet. New storages, fifth wizard tower, wiz tower level 9, fourth xbow, 8th archer tower and 7th cannon (or whatever one more of each is), and eagle artillery (two levels), we know so far

i was able to spend a good 30-45 min during golden hour. totaled just over 2 million gold in that amount of time with boosted barracks/heroes/spells

Well...there's no camp space upgrade, no CC upgrade, no spell capacity upgrade, no new troop, no new spell, and one level upgrade to minions and witches as the only troop upgrades.

Obviously more will come with time, but for now, it's basically just the warden on offense. And the witches/minions if you use them

I am assuming there is a loot penalty too, so really it isn't worth it if that is the case.
