Hello all, first post.
I have been lifting 3 years and just recentlty started lifting in Xero shoes (barefoot running sandals). The ground feel is rock solid on squats and deadlifts. I also use Merrell vapor gloves- same sole as vibram five fingers- without the toes. Also use these on walking and light running. Just curious if anyone else uses these types for lifting?

I lift barefoot if that counts, but that's in the garage. Othe than that I have a pair of Puma that might as well be minimalist I use. Samba by Adidas is the biggest sole I ever use for anything. I have a pair of tactical research minimalist boots I use for work sometimes. If not I am always in sandals with the thinest sole possible

I use five fingers and have been for a good long time lifting and daily wear. I only recently started wearing Olympic shoes again for squatting because I'm running into some patellar tendonitis problems.
It has solved some other aches I have had, like my achilles, plantar fascitis, etc. Well, that and lots of stretching.

I've used merrell "barefoot" shoes for the past 3 years. My current ones are their "flux glove" model. I use them for all lifting other than front squats and Oly movements. My ankle flexibility has improved in the last year, I can actually front squat very deep without a heel now but I'm so used to how it feels in Oly shoes I still slip 'em on for these.

I lift with my Five Fingers on. No crappy Nike or Reebok air cushion that takes away from my stability. Just a solid sole that gives me a nice solid base.

The shoes I lift in are the Reebok Crossfit TR Lite and Nanos. Don't know if they are considered minimalist but they are both thin soled that are either flat or with very little heel to toe drop. The TR Lite are my squat and deadlift shoes, even though I do high bar squats, I prefer them over Olympic lifting shoes and described in my journal why I prefer them over Chucks. The Nanos are my power clean shoes, I seem to get the best "pop" out of my second pull with them. For my other lifts, I'll just use which ever I have on at the moment

I wear indoor soccer shoes, cheaper than most other Chucks, lifting shoes and they work great.
