Hi All,
Everyone's been waiting for a thread to start, so I thought I would kick it off.
March 2- May 25th puts us @ 12 weeks to Memorial Day here in the US. Obviously non-US members are more than welcome to join in this 12 week thread.
Weigh-ins are Monday morning (I found these help keep me on track from overeating over the weekend)
So, it's time to tighten down the diet, and show those abs! Only 12 weeks to go, to the kick off of summer! (at least for those of us in the NH)
Although I don't run the spreadsheet, if Caprica hops on here, that would be greatly appreciated but not required (everyone please give her props for all her great work and time that she dedicates to threads out of her own free time).
This is not a contest. This is for your own peronsal gains (err.. loss).
Stop in, say hello. Since we are joining 2 threads here, introduce yourself.
If you are just coming off of a challenge:
What did you do on the last challenge?
Did you meet your goal?
And what is your goal for this challenge?
Will you do anything different this round?
If this is your first challenge, WELCOME! You are in for a 12week ride!
The Valentines day people will probably start it off first.
Post often, and let people know what you are doing.
Enjoy and have fun!
Remember, if it was easy, everyone would do it.
May 25th will be here no matter what. Either you can be in better shape, or not. Your choice.

I'm in...
I'm definitely in on this challenge.
I'm currently finishing up the December 1 - February 28 challenge, which I think has went pretty well for me. I started that challenge at 183.5 pounds and I'm now just under 170 pounds, which I had set as my goal at the start. For this challenge, I'm looking to get down to 157 pounds - the weight I was at last year in April when I decided to start a bulk that went out of control. I am hoping to just barely make it to that goal around the end of the challenge, at which point I should be in a pretty good position to start thinking about a slow gaining phase again. This time around. I'll be incorporating more cardio and I may be switching to All Pro Novice at some point.
We shall see.Keep your blood clean, your body lean, and your mind sharp. - Henry Rollins.
Goal: Leaner and stronger than ever, low 170s, by 6/17/2018.

In on this one!
I am currently about 3 lbs away from my DEC-FEB Transformation goal, so I am feeling pretty good about it. But I still have more to lose so I will continue the cut. Getting down another 10-15 lbs will be very tough so my discipline and focus will need to be taken to another level. I credit the DEC-FEB thread for the main reason I was able to stick with my current cut, days when I felt down or discouraged I would read the posts from that thread and realize we are all in this together.
I will calculate my goals and have them in my sig once the DEC-FEB Thread is finished. Best of luck to everyone! Hopefully by May 25th we are looking good and chillin' by the pool.Last edited by Eric1485; 02-21-2015 at 11:10 AM.

just participating this time.
good to see you guys! ^ thank you, Sammynage.
i weighed 134 lbs 9 days ago and today i weighed 131 lbs. i'm still doing full body and trying to get back into a schedule of working out at least three times a week. movement on the scale this past week has been good for my morale so i'll do a bit more cardio than usual as i head into next week. i've been stuck for a variety of reasons for a while... for the past week i've had access to a gym and complete control over my dietary choices so i'm feeling pretty good right now. looking forward to seeing the 120s again soon.Last edited by caprica6; 02-22-2015 at 07:21 PM.

In on this. 6'0, about 197 ish. Will be very busy at work from Mid April thru early June (70+ hrs/week.) I am up for the challenge of keeping the diet in check, and lifting every other day through the whole thing. If one of the two has to go it will be the lifting due to time, but I'm optimistic.
My goal is to be able to (proudly) jog shirtless thru the summer. I compared how I looked this morning to when I started on Jan 9 (209 lbs) and I am noticeably slimmer so looking very forward to see how I look at 175-180.

Hey guys and girls. First time I've ever posted on here, but I'm back on the dieting bandwagon as of January 19. I've been dieting off and on for a few years, but want it to stick this time, so maybe this will give me more motivation. A few years ago I weighed almost 230 pounds and I've been as low as 175. All my life until I went to college I've been an ectomorph, but I'm not sure what I would classify myself anymore. I swim competitively some so even though I want to add muscle, I want to strive for the swimmers physique.
When I started on my current cut I was up to 217.8 pounds. I'm down to 203.2 lbs as of today so making great progress so far. On days I don't get any exercise I consume between 1800-2200 calories while also trying to keep my protein around at least 30-35% so I won't lose too much muscle while cutting. I'm going to get back in my swimming routine soon and try to lift weights a couple times a week as well. Y'all will prob think I overdo it with the cardio, but I do swim in some meets. At my peak I like to get in around 5500 yards doing interval training 5 days a week.
My goal for this will be down to 180 by Memorial Day. Overall my goal is to get down to 160 and see what that does to my body fat %. I'd like to get it down to the 10-12% range and try doing a clean bulk. Nothing crazy, just adding some muscle mass throughout. Ideally in the end weigh somewhere between 185-195. I am 6'3 and 32 years old btw.Last edited by clemsonnum1; 02-22-2015 at 12:25 AM.

In!
What did you do on the last challenge? - 150 lbs to ~135 lbs
Did you meet your goal? - Yeah I met it last week.
And what is your goal for this challenge? - Maintain good eating habits (for me, which is a ketogenic diet), and lifting 3-4 x a week. I'd like to maintain or improve body composition (right now I'm around 20% BF I think and I'd like to be ~16-18%)
Will you do anything different this round? - Not much different from the last few weeks. I'll be eating at maintenance or over depending on how I feel, depending how things go. My nutrition is pretty much on point for body recomp without need of a deficit, so I just have to be consistent about that and lifting and I should be good.5/3/1 PRs: Deadlift: 90kg x 7 // Squat: 62.5kg x 7 // Bench: 42.5kg x 10 // Press: 32.5kg x 7 // Strict Pull-Ups: 4
Oct 23: 156.6 lbs & 30% bf // Mar 2: 137.06lbs & ? bf

So nice to see familiar faces here
What did you do on the last challenge?
No change 123lbs to 123lbs via a little 2weeks visit in the 121lbs - but mostly a mega stall.
Did you meet your goal?
- no I'm at a huge plateau - 122lbs forever! (I'm 5'3" 48yo)
And what is your goal for this challenge?
- I'm about to come out of a much needed 10 day diet break. I gained a pound or so. Want to go continue with the Bret Contreras Strong Curve program back to IF and 1600 cal and hopefully break that 122lbs plateau (ultimate goal is 115-118 - true ultimate goal is to walk properly, been in rehab for 18 months - I have hip displasia)
Will you do anything different this round?
- take diet breaks every 2 months. I had been dieting for 15 months with no break and it could the cause of the stall. So I plan to run this cut for 7 weeks and take a break after that.
Best of luck everyone! Stay strong** Marie **

In.
Been putting off this cut off for a month, so this is the perfect timing. Looking to drop 12-15 pounds of fat so my 6 little friends come out.
2200-2700 calories a day depending on activity
5 gym days a week with 2 chest days(weak muscle group)
I play basketball twice a week but I'm thinking of adding some HIIT training 2 times a week.
Like most I absolutely hate cutting and I'm going to lean heavy on this thread when my uncontrollable hunger kicks in!

Will be joining in on this thread and the challenge officially starts on my birthday! Looking forward to seeing where I stand at the start.
In last challenge I cut from 174 to around 163~ and still a week more of cutting till will stop posting in the thread. Didnt set an offical goal other than cutting which accomplishing. For this thread will try to drop to single digit body fat and see from there how I will proceed in term strength and size. Probably gonna do more refeeds as get leaner but yeah cant wait for this thread to officially start.Strive to be the better self that one could possibly be.

In. Been a long time lurker on the forum never been an active poster.
Little background. Live in Ontario, Canada 29 year old male. About a 1.5yr was at my highest weight 268lbs. Than made it all the way down to 198 lbs, but was a skinny fat. Now just at or under 220lbs. Joined the gym and slowly learning how to lift. Never lifted in my life, start with squats and dead lifts focusing on form not weight. Have that pretty much down now. Fine tune diet this week, than get at it on Mar 2. Anyone send me in the right direction for a good noobie workout program?
Goal = 190lbs by the end
Thanks
