Starting Bulk Wednesday - What about Sugar

I am going to start my first ever bulk on Wednesday..... Currently at 170 lb and 10-11% bf down from 218 lb and 25+% bf

Last 3 weeks have been in the 2,000 cal range my plan for bulk will be as follows:

Bump to 2,500 cal's for 1-2 weeks just to get my body use to increase then up to 2,750-2,800 for actual bulk

My target macros are going to be:

    210g protein
    120g fat
    Balance carbs

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.... Going to stay with 4-5 cardio sessions per week along with 4 lifting sessions upper/lower body split....

One question I do have is should I continue to watch my sugars closely? I have been keeping sugar intake down between 35-45g per day and really watching closely.... Will this have a big impact if I increase or as long as I maintain cals and above macro amounts will not really matter???

    Looks like a solid plan.

As for sugars, it'll count as a Carb so just factor it into your macros. That being said I personally try to avoid simple sugars from candy, lattes, juices etc just because the spike in insulin will lead to fat storage if the energy is not used immediately. But at the end of the day its about calories in vs calories out. Hit your macros and you'll be fine.

I'm fairly new to all of this myself and I'm also just starting bulking, good luck with your goals!!

Added sugars should not make more than 10% of calorie intake.

Those engaged in vigorous activity (>20hrs/week) may need more.
