Gay interviewer update... GOT MY DREAM JOB!!!! (repping everyone ITT) (GTFIH)

For those unaware of my thread yesterday, read the quote below for the full story. If you're aware just skip right past it.

- walk in feeling confident, I'm greeted by a bubbly 9/10 HBB. I think to myself "yes, this makes it much easier "
- she leads me to a room where a ~5ft 4 guy greets me, she walks away. I look in despair as she walks around the corner and think to myself...

- I'm 6ft 3 so I TOWER over him, he looks up at me and says "ooh, hello" and kind of bites his lip
- I bertstare him and say nice to meet you and shake his hand, keeping my composure
- he starts asking questions, nothing worth mentioning but I appear to be charming him as he's laughing and agreeing with everything I say
- half way through the interview, no word of a lie he's writing something down and intentionally drops his pen and bends over to get it, basically shoving his ass in my face
- I say "woah" and back away on my chair like this

- he says "ha, sorry about that" and acts like nothing inappropriate or extremely gay just happened
- asks a couple more questions, then says "oh I nearly forgot, I'll need your number to notify you if you have the job or not" even though the company already has it
- I see this as a red flag but being greedy, my minds on the money and I accept
- he has a MASSIVE cheeky grin on his face, a bit like this

- he then cuts the interview short and says the company will get back to me when they've looked at other candidates, which in my experience always means you haven't got the job
- I'm both disappointed and horrified as I walk out
- Soon after I leave, I get this text:

- I ask misc what to reply
- I follow a miscers advice and reply with this: (THANK YOU Archangel_Lost)

- Miscers eagerly await update and make gay "position" jokes

Well, here's the update. At 8am in the morning he texted me this:




I woke up at about 9:30am and was both shocked and overwhelmed to see that. I did get the call at around 10am and went for the "follow-up interview" which wasn't really an interview, I just talked to this cool guy for about 20 minutes then him and the 9/10 HBB gave me a mini tour around the work place.



Then they and Dave explained that I've got the job but will have to have an interview with someone higher up (probably the boss) first some time next week but the job is as good as mine. They also explained the salary I'll receive, what type of company car I'll get and when I'll most likely be starting.



Can't even describe how happy I am bros, finished university early June and never thought I'd get a job this fast let alone my dream job! Around £34,000 to £42,000 (~$58, 000 to $71, 000) starting salary, a decent company car, bonuses, the opportunity to work my way up and earn more, AND weekends off! I'll most likely have a 5ft 4 gay guy mirin' all day but I don't care, it's worth it!



Repping everyone in this thread, thanks to everyone who wished me good luck and gave me advice. We're all gonna make it brahs, you just gotta work hard and never give up

Where on earth is paying you 41k a year as a graduate structural engineer starting out? Starting salary in Aberdeen in dat dere Oil & Gas industry is 30-34k, structural engineers in Glasgow are 22-25k lol.
