So much this. I let social anxiety lull me into this way of thinking when I was late teens-early 20's. Super shy introvert in high school and always told myself "Well it'll just happen eventually right?". No. You have to go out there and get what you want. Go have fun. Go talk to girls wherever. Total lack of confidence. I went to a really small school (13 kids in my class) and had some really ****ty interactions with girls at a young age. Treated pretty badly, publicly ostracized, that kind of crap. I've always been overweight (outside the Army) and just built up this massive fear of rejection, coupled with the fact that my hobbies are pretty much all solo (computer building, art, reading, music, gaming, etc).
