10 k per year, close ? nowhere near ?
more ? less ?
maybe he does it for free or at a discounted rate as his association with Phil is what gives him his name as a prep coach and enable him to charge high prices to other people lower down the chain in bodybuilding ?

i know it might be risky to voice my opining, cause you know, inb4 phil...
BUT from a marketing perspective it would probably be smart to charge phil the least of any of his clients... maybe traveling/commodities for his contests
Phil is the best advertising/resumé Hany has so doubt he'd risk "overcharging" Phil

Hany should be paid a profesional rate for professional services. Phil needs Hany as much as Hany needs Phil, I do not think Phil would risk self guruing which has worked for some athletes.
In other sports coaches get paid well and deserve to be, bodybuilding should be no different, Phil has a big house and more than one car and rightly so as he is an elite athelete.
Hany is at the top of his profession and should be paid as he is bringing the goods.TEAM WOLF + TEAM KAI +TEAM CEDRIC + TEAM ROMGLE - TEAM RAMY - TEAM FAIR JUDGING

Register and find out?
though Phil's prices will probably differ.
I'am sure Phil would of asked around to see what Hany charges other pro's.
An intelligent Pro that has a good contest history, could probably create a biding war between guru's.

I honestly don't think Phil is going to disclose that. It's just something you don't do.
I would guess its not a small sum of money. That much i do know."There are no victims, only volunteers. You volunteer by looking uncertain and afraid. You volunteer by being, as grass-eaters invariably are, unprepared to confront the hazards of life." - Col. Jeff Cooper

Phil should be free? Are you guys on crack? Or maybe you don't understand the egocentric maniac that is Hany. You think Phil made hany? hany would laugh in your face.
Plus that is just crazy anyway. If you have a great business and you believe in your product and you have a strong product you don't give it to the best for free. If a vendor has a contract with Cleveland clinic to supply various medical supplies that is a HUGE referral to have Cleveland clinic. It could get you millions of dollars worth of other business but you sure as **** wouldn't give them your stuff for free. Do you give them discounts for being a good customer? Maybe free shipping for all orders? Well...yeah...sure...for sure as **** you aren't going to give them your services for free.
Like Hany or not he is a professional and offers a service...it is ludicrous to say "it should be free". When you get to the point you think of someone like phil as a "god" anyway your doomed. It's terrible for business and never works out. Same thing in any other business. You suck off a customer too much, too often, too many freebies, you end up upside down and losing money.
If I was hany and phil asked for the services for free (which I don't think Phil would he is too professional) Hany should tell him to screw himself

Yup. It's mutual benefit, but Hany probably does charge Phil less. That's my guess anyways. I think Charles Glass has done the same with some people, or given discounts on a few training sessions or something like that, simply cus he feels he could really help the person out and that their physique would look great. Not just purely from a marketing perspective, but for guys who are into bodybuilding, they would like to appreciate the physique that the athlete is able to display, maybe even feeling they were a part of the process that went into it or something. There's all sorts of reasons other than business (though that's part of it, too) that a trainer might charge someone with lots of potential less than what they charge other clients.
At the same time, like you said, Phil benefits from Hany's coaching and providing a second set of eyes. They're friends and also coach/student type of relationship at the same time, and Hany has mentioned in interviews that Phil is really coachable since he comes from that background where you work with a coach.
Kind of funny, there was an interview, I think maybe the one with Dennis James at the Olympia, where Phil was asked if he was nervous and he said no...Hany goes "Of course not, I'm the one that gets nervous. That's why he pays me"
edit - lol @ anyone who thinks Phil should get training services for free
