I was thinking of attaching the sandwich style since they are thinner, (perhaps with wedges if they have movement). I'm not sure if you've made any of those type?
Also, could your monolift hooks potentially be offset by such a contraption or is that going too far?

Cheese. Now I remember your set up. Don't know how I could forget! Gorgeous!!! Lotta regulars here to keep track of who goes with which gym.
Mechanized Rogue rigs getting quite common here. Congrats.▪█──────█▪ Equipment Crew #64 ▪█──────█▪

Thanks guys! The gray is going to go well with my setup.
Mech does great work and has been patient and a pleasure to work with. He gives great advice and like many have said, his attention to detail is awesome.||---|| Rogue Barbell Club #36 ||---||

Finally getting my cable column (my own design) to have pulldown capability. It's been drawn up since december 2013. Although not really a pulldown, it's more of horizontal extension to the column. Meaning I can set the pulley anywhere along the depth of the rack. Doing this to keep "production" going while I work on alex's FT design. Basically to fill up batches for powder coating, otherwise I have to wait too long to accumulate stuff and delays get even longer.
This is the first step, lol. Basically link my 2 exit cables into 1 so I can get the full stack weight to the other section.
And don't ask why the cable is yellow. It's what I had available at the time. It's spiffy.

Not sure if its better here or on the Crew thread (and I know Mech's probably cursing my name considering how long I take and I'm not even done yet but...) but I thought I would show what's been up so far with my latest from him.
This isn't a strength for me as I tend to keep to myself with most things. But many of you have seen his work and know that not only does he do fantastic work but goes beyond. In my case, I had limited room at the rear of my rack (too close to the wall) and wasn't likely able to fit what I wanted - an RH.
Working with him is easy, I give him a problem and leave it to him. My input is not needed really as when he gets something needing to be solved, its like fat kids on chocolate. I just sit back and see it unfold.
First come the CAD images. Detailed to the end.
From the green light are the photos of the progress. Essentially Mech does a better job of documenting your item than many of us do when we receive said item.
I finally took some time to learn to embed just for these posts - hoping its worked!▪[[────]]▪ York Barbell Club #65 ▪[[────]]▪

There is no fooling around with the packaging. It arrived looking like a small igloo. And I had service to have it dropped off at the house (again more help from Mech).
What can one complain about? Everything is meticulously protected. If you want to b!itch then it's only about the time needed to free everything from their cocoons! For me it was perfect as we are moving soon and I needed the extra packing material.
All the bags were labeled. All the boxes equally so.
He sent me instructions to put it together and a series of photos to follow if needed. And he always says to call if I ever jam myself up.▪[[────]]▪ York Barbell Club #65 ▪[[────]]▪

So with all this I started to put it together - myself (though I was warned repeatedly that I should have someone to help). The issue I had was being too close to the back wall to allow the RH to tilt and be used. the solution Mech came up with were two arms, set upon brackets and attached to my crossmembers that would allow the arms - and thereby the RH) to tilt away from the wall giving me clearance.
I pull the pins out, lower the RH and replace the pins to lock it in. From here I can tilt back the RH to where I would like to use it.
What I haven't shown, or you cant see are the other details. The area where the arms rotate (pivot point) is a sheathed bolt to reduce any wear and tear. At the top of the arms are caps to clean them up. Right below are large rubber pads to I don't bump metal to metal putting them back. Cotter pins on the large pull pins to ensure no mistakes (I'm prone to them!). The handles on the RH slide up and down to give me further clearance and shorter arm length if necessary.
And I haven't even started on the RH itself. Apologies to Mech for taking so long. It does work and it works wonderfully so no worries. I'll be putting it through its paces soon enough and will add this finished with the pad (and some weights) as well as show the clearances. But I did want this out rather than linger (I've had it since the week prior to Christmas at least). Really cant say enough good things about this guys work and how he handles himself (even with people not so easy to deal with as myself). Hope you brothers in iron enjoy the write-up.▪[[────]]▪ York Barbell Club #65 ▪[[────]]▪
