Doing well. I've been consistent for 5 weeks or so at this point, so strength is coming back and should be peaking soon hopefully.
As far as the big 3 for this week:
Bench I did some work @ 275 for 5s
Worked up to a double of 465x2 on the DL
Squat: worked up to a heavy double set tonight, 405x2
I'm just happy to be consistent with it again, but I'm hoping for some PRs in the very near future.
I really didn't feel ambitious on logging mediocre workouts for me so that's why I refrained from logging.... after saying I would lol.

Glad to hear everything is going well and that you are still training. Your mediocre workouts is still strong compared to the norm!

Haven't checked in on bb.com in years!
Random update: The passion fizzled for a while boys, but you can't extinguish it and it sparked back up since COVID! I've been back in full swing for well over a year now and even hitting PRs. It took me a long time to get back to my strength levels as I was mostly just going through the motions and not really pushing my upper limits for many of the years during my hiatus. We are currently sitting at about a 500 squat, 385 bench (touch and go), mid 500 DL. Going to give a go at my first PL meet in May (USAPL). Does anyone even read forums anymore??The more I eat and the heavier I train - the better my 'genetics' get.

Hey dude, I randomly sign onto the forum; what are the odds, you posted in your journal today! I can't believe it was in 2014 since you had last posted in your journal, and that my last post prior to this one was in 2015. I had to review the last couple of pages of this journal because honestly, it had been too many years since it was active.
A few posts above this one, I had asked how Philly was treating you. Small world -- I am now in Philly.
With those lifts, it sounds like you have been focused and diligent with your training. Glad to hear you have decided to try a powerlifting competition. Which USAPL meet are you aiming to compete at?USMC: 1999-2003; 2009-Current

Oh nice! I’m outside the city in bucks county in the suburbs. Newtown PA. I competed this past weekend and ended up with 501/374/529. Had a fair amount left on deads but we were just looking at some placings. 1405 total. Was a lot of fun though and was awesome to hit 500 on squats

Newtown is a nice area. I live in Bucks county in Bensalem, which is only a few minutes from the "border" of Philadelphia.
Congrats on the strong and successful meet performance! Which federation did you compete in? Equipped or unequipped?
No membership. I had a Crunch Fitness membership but rarely used it and I just canceled yesterday. I train at the gym located at work. It's fairly basic, but it works because I mainly stick to the basic lifts. Unfortunately, I am not close to hitting any PRs anymore, but I am still just as consistent -- just older with more aches.
Do you have another meet planned?USMC: 1999-2003; 2009-Current
