I am thinking of purchasing some bulk Dmaa powder and was wandering what pre workout would be best to add this to?

I wouldn't say that DMAA is unhealthy for you, lulz. It's just not a legal dietary supplement ingredient anymore after the FDA stopped allowing it to be used in dietary supplements. Unless you are implying that bulk DMAA these days if you can find it may contain stuff in it that isn't DMAA :P

I was inferring that buying bulk powder and adding it to a pre is the exact reason it was banned in the first place... And considering what the side effects from dosing it I would say it is.. Everyone had their own opinions. I just look at what the side effects are and I'd rather not jack up my blood pressure all for a little extra boost during my workout

Original ErgoPump contained DMAA, I think the new version would be pretty solid if you added some to it.

Think it's user dependent really. DMAA never really gave me issues with my heart rate and if anything, helped the other stims last longer as well as smoothing out the jitters. I've seen many people have the opposite reaction to the stuff though.
As with everything, when trying out new things, dose the minimum dose to assess tolerances and work yourself up from there.Completed Logs & Reviews:

Ya, there are a couple sites online that still ship DMAA products out. I just ordered some NoxiPro w DMAA. Believe it or not, it is my first experience with DMAA. Honestly, it didn't blow me away. Felt pretty great, but not superior to some others that I have tried. But that could be bc I was a big fan of Craze w, low and behold, has amphetamines in it. Very similar strand to the DMAA, so for me, it wasn't an eye opener or anything. In any case, you can still find this **** online.

Basically after all the hype around issues with DMAA, it turns out not to actually have the problems that people thought. FDA jumped the gun on this one and now it's banned. There are certainly places still selling products with it in it, but I have not seen any bulk powders being sold.
Back in action.

The victims ultimately were found to either have underlying issues and/or did not use according to label suggestions. Even the military came to the conclusion that the ingredient was not dangerous or a negative impact to health if the label instructions were followed. Sadly the military came to this conclusion AFTER the FDA nixed it.

Thanks for the advice man, will keep that in mind moving forward. I was interested to try the DMAA after hearing so much about it, but honestly, I was a little disappointed. I blame it on Craze though. I had done a week long cycle of Craze prior to trying the DMAA. Now that I know it is spiked w Amphetamines, it all makes sense. With Craze, I felt the effects for hours after my workout, and never crashed. I was expecting similar results with DMAA, but it honestly made me feel like **** immediately following my workout. I'll give it a go again at a smaller dose and see how it effects me.

For me personally it's not really a crash... but I can certainly feel it wear off. Thing is though, for myself, one scoop lasts for ~6 hours so it's basically one of those "what goes up, must come down" things. I only use it once a week though to keep it from becoming an issue. The workouts it gives me are so mind-blowing if I used it any more than once a week I'd want to start using it all the time. For whatever reason, I react to dmaa like crazy. Stuff just rocks me and I can barely pull myself out of the gym. God help me if I start doing cardio. It's so exhilarating I can't hardly stop.
EDIT: Also to address the thread topic, I personally wouldn't dose my own dmaa for fear of using too much or something but if I were going to do it, I would try it with C4. Of all the run of the mill pre's I find C4 to have a little something special. I almost get kinda high off it for an hour or two. C4 Doesn't do anything for cardio but I've had some really epic lifts with it. I stack Hemavol on top of everything so maybe that helps too. One of these days I'm going to try a half scoop of Noxi or Meso and a half scoop of C4 and see where that takes me.Last edited by AirForceOne8; 10-22-2013 at 05:18 PM.
