Called ugly while Bodybuilding

I found out through a friend that a couple of girls called my body ugly and unattractive. I have been going to the gym for 4 years now. It is a really big ass blow to my self esteem. Now I am not sure that those 4 years of hard work even paid off. Has anybody had similar stories? and How to deal with it. I attached a picture of myself if you are curious how I look like.

See, I don't lift to get girls. I have a girlfriend already. I lift because its healthy and you look good. But it still is really mean and I don't get how you cannot spot a person that does go to a gym for some time now, Meaning being buff and sort of fit.

Just a little too much body fat, but not enough to worry about. Girls say a lot of different things, it's all about what you want. Most girls that I've heard don't like the big bodybuilder look but that doesn't mean that there aren't hotties that do like that look. You just have to be confident in who you are, decide what you want your body to look like, and go for that.
