Dennis James. Competed in many Mr. Olympias. He retired from competing in 2010, but still continues to body build. I was actually present during the announcement of his retirement at the 2010 mr. Olympia in Vegas.

man, DJ had a great physique.. what annoys is that whenever people talk about him when he was competing, they always say the word ''not big enough''.. it's like they are taunting him.
I think Cedric should become Mr Olympia before the age of 40.

Couple repost from the Chicago. I tell ya it was mind blowing to talk one on one with this guy in the hotel room. It was like everything I read throughout the years all coming to my mind and saying it to him. Then having him give his answer with details. The guy is VERY funny to with the jokes and messing around.
Then in this wrap up video from the Chicago show at 8:28. I'm the one who brought this up in the room to Dennis about how people like to put him and Roelly together when it comes to gym pictures and showtime. Telling Dennis it bugs the crap out of me because overall Dennis had a great career. While Roelly just needed to change what the he was doing prep wise. Which you cannot do staying with the same person over and over. Well, he changed it.....

I don't remember everyone saying he wasn't big enough; in fact, he was known for being a pretty freaky dude. IIRC, the gripe was his back and legs were not quite up to par, compared to the top of the field.Originally Posted by Soforak

^^^^ LOL I dunno if you know this but DJ did fairly well in his career competing, you don't have to win the olympia or arnold classic to be a top bodybuilder

This is DJ at his more streamlined, smaller, 2003 look. Still holds his own with Cutler and Coleman in size. Later years he showed up bigger(even way bigger, imo), but noticeably softer.

DJ was one of the best mass monsters going in the early 00's imo. Loved that era.
