Im sure most of guys have seen these scales that measure both your weight and bodyfat just by you standing on it. I saw one at Osco the other day for only $30. I was wondering if these things are fairly accurate. Also, anyone know exactly how they work?

well i know how the hand held one work, they send a tiny electrical pulse through your body and fat slows it down so when i get from one side of you body to the other the computer calculates it and registers your bf %, i've been thinking about getting the scale kind too.

i have a scale one and it SUCKS. If i get on it it will say like 8% then if i get back on later that day it will say 11%, I have actually had it jump from about 9% to 18% in one day.
I am better off just guessing my bf%Mod at universal-muscle.com

It can vary from day to day - depending on your moisture % etc... so best to just plot on a graph and get an estimate for the week for example... that way it would be a more accurate reading.
I have also seen a Body Analyser from Inventum Shop - this claims to measure Fat %, Moisture %, Muscle Density and Bone Density... I wonder how accurate that really is.My mind is like, "Lets go to the gym!" but my body is all, "Dude chill, this couch is really comfortable".

Cut done with - basically unsuccessful first bulk as I did put on a lot of fat to go with the little muscle I added. I know what I did wrong first time round and won't be repeating it. Looking forwards to being able to eat a few hundred more calories!! At least I know I can cut fat efficiently: went from 143lbs to 120lbs and from 35in to 29in waist.
