I listened to it ironically because I liked the beats but so many idiots take the lyrics so literally. If you listen to rap unironically, you can't be taken seriously. The entire genre is based on image and instrumentals. It doesn't matter how good of a lyricist you are or how good your flow is, most people won't even pay attention if your instrumentals aren't on point.

Pretty sure a large chunk of the human population listens to at least some rap now adays...idiotic statement to make OP. And errrr...part of being a marketable artist is being a great lyricist and having good beats...in the same way that you wouldn't listen to an amazing vocalist over a garbage melody. So not sure what your point is here at all.

Maybe in America but I doubt they listen to ***** Mane in Iraq. My point is, the lyrics are meant to be enjoyed ironically. Rap promotes violence, narcissism, sociopathy, psychopathy and misogyny. It's not meant to be taken seriously but so many people do. Especially in urban areas. I've met lots of people who try to emulate that lifestyle but fail miserably.

It is considered rap. It's a different style of rap from guys from the Wu, Pro era and etc... but it's still rap.
Not false. MOST PEOPLE don't care. You think some person sitting in the club cars about bars son? Like they're gonna bob their heads to a cormega or az song and listen to how sick the lyricism is.

Underground hip hop is even worst for the most part.
"Uhhh yo son we underground, fuk the government, black people are opressed, radio hip hop sucks, dis dat real chit. Yee yee we got educations and chit"
The only tolerable for of hip hop are alternative groups like death grips and people from the old def jux/stones throw days.

Used to listen to rap, every once in a while.
Then i graduated high schoolYou might think you chose this, but instead it was destiny that made you into this, it was your fate.

So what would your soultion be OP?
Get rid of rap music entirely bc a few uneducated young ppl take it too literally? Being from a fairly high crime area, ill tell you right now that like 95% of criminals did not get into crime as a result of rap music.
So do you believe that violent videogames and movies should be taken away as well?
Please elaborate OP.

know them feels OP.
i choose most songs by how the melody sounds, not by the lyrics. Always laugh a little on the inside when people start talking to me about how much they like a certain rapper because "he just raps so real" or something like that."So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."

Lighten up OP, there's fantastic rap out there
If you're close-minded you won't get to hear any of it.
Lakutis is a 10/10 rapper, most of the greedhead label is pretty awesome
Lakutis' verse starts at 1:36 ish
Best verse I've heard all year. Flow is perfect. Comedy on point.
MC Frontalot is pretty sick too. Funny story he weaves
