Start of 3rd week and I feel the change! Well, not really. I did get a compliment from a friend who said that I'm starting to look thinner. **** yeah!
Sorry if this is a stupid question but, when you guys weigh yourself, do you do it butt-naked or with clothes on?
Also do you use the restroom before weigh in?

I agree. Use the bathroom as that might be somewhat the difference if you are just going for 2 pounds a week or so... and also I think consistancy in clothing is good too. Some of my big jeans, shoes, jacket, etc, cell phone, wallet, that could certainly be 5 pounds or more.
That gives me an idea... for next time. I'll wear all of my clothes at the same time when I weigh in.... what a first week cut that would be.January 1st- March 31st - Fat Loss

I usually weigh myself every day after using the restroom and before I shower so naturally I'm nekkid. I weighed myself in my pajamas and thought they were light enough but it added a whole extra pound. So it eases my mind to have nothing on. No way to be worried that its anything else but you.
Motivated for all the right reasons.

Tournament Announcement
Good evening all,
We are now just finishing up our second week. We ended up losing 20 people this week. I think a few may resubmit sometime later, possibly tomorrow but we shall see. The red team lost 8, while the blue team lost 10. However, the runnings are still extremely close with the red team only ahead by 2.4lbs!
My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone that was involved with the horrific incident in Boston today.
Enjoy your week everyone.

A question for knowledgeable gentlemen:
I have some protein powder which is past the date before which it was supposed to be consumed. A cursory glance at the most readily available literature online informs me that, assuming it smells and tastes as it always has, the worst that is likely to be true is that some of the nutritional value of the powder will have reduced. Obviously if it makes me sick I will have my answer - as with other foods.
As I currently can't afford to buy much in the way of protein I'm planning to have a few scoops a day but thought I would check.

Theres some explanations here about expired protein powder. Common sense says it could be "best before" instead of "eat by". How can powder that is mostly protein and has no water in it, go bad :x

Scale is moving in the right direction again after last week's setback! We'll see what happens by my midweek weigh in and then push hard thru Sunday. I'm enjoying all the newbie gains at the gym since I haven't lifted in over a year, and long term would like to get my squat to 200+lbs and my deadlift over 300+lbs (currently squat 135lbs/deadlift 185lbs working sets, not sure of my 1RM) but not sure it's possible while I'm cutting. I'm going to cut until the fall since I don't really have to worry about this summer while I'm at Navy ODS, so hopefully I'll be able to work on building more strength after that.
However, there's a fundraiser for an organization I volunteer for at a frozen yogurt shop on Monday....must figure out how to work that into Monday's calorie count.Starting Weight:225lbs - Aug '12 :::: Current Weight:177lbs

I have stalled the last 3 weeks, but I started taking creatine right around then so that may have something to do with it. I have average a 300-400 calorie deficit /week.
Might be high sodium intake as wellDeads 405--> Goals 500....3xBW
Squat 320 --> 405
Bench 200 --> 275

F*ck my computer messed up on Saturday and I haven't been able to get on. Sorry guys. Hopefully you don't mind adding me back Krete, I'll PM you.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I feel bad when chit like that happens.
On a positive note, good job everybody who's still in it and going hard. I need to start hitting the gym hard again. I went for a solid 5 months without missing a session, got a new job and now my schedule and all messed up and I wind up not going when I should. Gotta definitely stop that, but my diet is still great which is good.- Dave

We are on the same team so this isn't a challenge, more a bit of motivation. I am going out of town for the next two days with a group of about 10 people. I will be at the mercy of the group. As a way to motivate myself I am setting a goal for 4 pounds this week. I know that require me to stay 100% on top of my diet. It will also require me to put in some extra hotel cardio since I will have to re-organize my lifting days.
If I make my 4 pound goal I will pass you up by .2 pounds unless you get back to losing. So lets keep going!2016 Weigh-ins: 185 this year, sub 205 forever!
1/4 : 206 | 3/3 : 216 | 4/1 : 225 | 5/1 : 2??
2015 Weigh-ins: High are not as High, and Lows are lower
1/1 : 223 | 2/1 : 215 | 5/1 : 242 | 10/1 : 234 | 12/1 : 208
2014 Weigh-ins: Not much happened this year
4/1 : 252 | 7/25 : 242
2013 Weigh-ins: roller coaster year
3/31 : 246.6 | 8/4 : 215.0 | 12/1 : 240
