What happens if I leave fat out of my diet

I'll be exercising alot during the summer, rock climbing and rowing. I was wondering if I ate very little fat, or lower than my recomended levels and I eat enouhg protein and carbs, will my body burn the fat stored in my body? I'm 12% body fat right now trying to get it down to 8 or 9%, i weight 144.

Well for starters, your hormone levels will tank, & you'll likely start having joint issues too.

Fats are also vital for brain function, which may help explain the phenomena that is Dave Pulcinella.

Don't do it.. Its extremely important to get your fats, especially when cutting. It's not recommend you go below .35 x LBM.

Eating less than your recommended intake of fat won't cause you to lose more fat. Eating at a caloric deficit causes you to lose fat. What you're suggesting is both foolish and dangerous, in addition to making no sense from a nutritional perspective.

Just as others said.. hormone levels arn't going to like it what so ever.

Still cant believe Kris Gethin advocates zero fat in his 12 week training program. Good program to follow, crap nutrition advice.

^^ This. I did the KG 12-week trainer for 11 of the 12 weeks before stumbling upon this forum no more than two weeks ago. I was highly irritable and my brain function was noticeably awry. Maybe KG fed the idea into my head but I couldn't retain anything short-term memory wise and would be absent minded like putting the food scale in the fridge and the chicken on top the fridge without noticing, **** like that.

dietary fat doesn't make you fat, seriously. i consumed less than 15 grams of fat per day for almost 5 months at one point, and here were some of the side effects, OP:

    Depression
    Exhaustion
    Extreme irritability
NO libido at ALL. me and the GF at that time broke up because the sex0rs stopped (srs.)
    Incredible fatigue and weakness
I generally hated life and was an ******* to everyone.
I looked and felt incredibly unhealthy, and people was beginning to believe I was starving (which essentially I was)

and more, OP. plus at 144 lbs, don't even contemplate cutting, especially "low fat" nonsense. Eat FAT along with protein and carbs.

How tall are you? For most bodybuilders a lean 144 pounds would be considered pretty thin and it would be a time to bulk up.

At the time I was too focused on my goal & stuck it out. Afterwards when I started to educate myself on nutrition I was pretty pissed that people who you would expect to be giving quality advice were in fact doing just the opposite.

That's why I like helping out the newbies when I can. You can do a lot of searching & think the advice is good but it turns out that it's just total sh!t.
