The scale has stalled at 132lbs now for about 3 weeks. How long do you generally wait until you decide to reduce calories further? I started at 147lbs and have done 2000 calories steady for about 3 months now (a few days over here & there for sure).
Also, if I decide to reduce calories further to help out the last few pounds, is -200 more good enough? 1800? I don't really think I should go lower than that.

I would wait one more week, and then if nothing happens drop to 1800 But that's just me

Do you feel stuck non-scale-wise? I mean, in that three weeks have you continued to notice visual changes or changes in how your clothes are fitting?

Are you breastfeeding. Because losing is tough if you are still producing milk. If not try reducing the carbs first before reducing the overall calories. Sometimes reducing calories can put you in a stall due to SNS downregulation. When I reduce carbs, I just replace the calories with extra fat calories, so my overall daily caloric intake stays the same.

Thanks girls! I feel okay, clothes are starting to fit looser but body composition is quite blah compared to before. Yes, I'm nursing, he's almost 19 weeks & feedng every 1-2 hours so I'm not sure I'll be able to drop lower than this... but I'm still almost 20lbs more than I was before kids. I don't expect to go back down to 115 (120-125 is fine) but would like to work on that last little bit. I stalled at 132 with my last kid too.

If it's been 3 months at 2000 calories and you've been stalled out for 3 weeks, I would be cutting back now. 3 months is a good run, but lowering calories at this point just makes sense. Personally I would take a couple days off to eat at maintenance. A quick mental break, than start fresh at 1800.
Good luck.Last edited by kimm4; 03-17-2013 at 10:27 PM.
