The screen size of a 4S is a bit small at 3.5", but I can't say that I ever really think about having a larger screen except when discussing it like this.

I wouldn't mind a 4-4.25" screen, but anything more than that doesn't particularly appeal to me.

Vox, regardless of your own requirements, it's nice to have options and Apple until recently offered only one phone with a 3.5" screen — that's one phone for kids, tech nerds, soccer moms, and old grannies alike. Next size up was a 10" tablet. Not a whole lot of variety there.

You can dismiss companies like Samsung as copycats, but left unchecked Apple would have no reason to offer any more than slight incremental updates (case in point: 18 months from 4 > 4S) while charging top dollar for the same old cheap ass junk coming out of China. Great for Apple shareholders, not so good for consumers.

And on that note I laugh every time someone mentions the craftsmanship of Apple products MADE IN CHINA. This ain't Patek Philippe.

My new-every-two-years-upgrade for the Verizon is coming up in May. I may upgrade my obese Droid Bionic to either an iPhone 5 or a Samsung S4. This may be the most important decision I ever make.

I keep saying if the iPhone 6 fails to impress me I'm going back to droid, but I'd lose out on a lot of apps I've downloaded/bought and that's a pain. I went through it when I switched to this.

The problem with good coffee is that it is too drinkable and before you know it, there is no more coffee. You can make and drink some more but there are certain costs, including over caffeination and the extra butt explosions in the lavatory.

I almost always want more. It is tough to find a good decaf.

The TV is a relatively good comparison, the microwave not so much. It's not the technology that I take issue with, it's the misuse by individuals in society that concerns me. Try not having your phone on you for a day and be self-aware of the effect it has on you. I've seen people physically start to freak out when they forget it and I refused to turn around the car to go get it. Even though it was only going to be a few hours w/out it.

I can be okay without a phone, but I will turn around and get it since I use it for work a LOT. I've been on 3 international trips this year where I was without it and didn't even think twice about it.

lolshack, I think the fact that Chaz is still alive after the massive amounts of caffeine he has ingested in his younger days, proves your theory incorrect. Also, pooping at work, like Chaz mentioned, is a great way to waste time.

I think Apple would be smarter to offer a couple of different screen sizes to give people more choice (the 5 isn't that much bigger than a 4S). But that said, I don't think any company needs to try to be all things to all people. For example, Mercedes doesn't need to offer a $20K car or a minivan or something to remain relevant and highly profitable. I have no problem with a company determining what they feel to be the "right" products for them to sell and then focusing on that.

I'm sorry, but you are on crack. It didn't take Samsung copycatting their products for them to invent the iPod, or the iPhone, or the iPad. "Left unchecked" Apple would continue to innovate as they have been doing. I see the phone cycle slowing down because the pace of technology change doesn't require you to re-tool constantly any more. Phones aren't changing that fast anymore, so why do we need a new model every 6 months?

And I wouldn't call anything they make "cheap ass junk".
