Hey guys, so I started out 233lbs and cut down to now about 185-188lbs, I took the slow route and aimed for about a pound or two a week at most, some weeks hit less, some weeks hit more , but averaged that out. Now recently I started intermittent fasting after a lot of reading as well as seeing the "Hodge Twins" have success with it and promote it. Since I started it, I have kept my cutting calories about the same (I try to stick to 1600-1800), and the only change is that I have been doing MORE cardio, and also started intermittent fasting, however now in the past couple weeks I've seen a GAIN of weight, about 4 or so pounds, and I don't believe it's water weight.
Any reason this would happen? I know some people say maybe I'm putting on mass from working out, but I'm still eating at a deficit and I dont see why Intermitten fasting would change it that much
Thanks!
Edit:I've also seen some of my lifts go down, but I mean I expected that a bit with the cut

What leads you to believe it isn't water?

It could still be water, I had the same thing happen to me not long back (dates with weights below), stalled one week, gained four the next, then the week after I dropped 10lbs. My diet stayed the same. If you are sure that you are tracking correctly then stick it out for another week or two.
