hey all,
been training reverse pyramid style for a while now. has been great with deadlift progression amidst a cut.
i will be maxing at the end of the year, though, and thought about doing a peaking program a bit too late. i basically have two weeks (read: two sessions) between now and the end of the year when i would max.
my last x1 pull was about 4 weeks ago and it came up without any issue. i figure i have a good 10-20lb more in me.
so the real question: how should i train the next two weeks? high intensity, just singles or doubles at ___%? or lots of volume at a much lower intensity?
thanks for any thoughts

If you are going to treat this like a moc meet then do what ever this week but I wouldn't go very heavy and take the second week off. Then go for your max.

i'll probably do a mock meet, not completely sure tho. if not then i'll do my three lifts within a day or two of each other.
i'm going for a new 1rm. previous (~1 mo. ago) was 455. definitely had 465 in me, maybe even 475. want to make sure i'm primed and ready to hit at least 475 if not more (would be ecstatic to hit 5 plates ).
also, what's the best way to max on deads? i've done it once before but just sorta guessed my way through it. i don't want to hit 465 when i know i can and then try for more and not be able to cause of the effort already spent. likewise, i don't want to overreach, fail, and thus not have the power to grab a weight i otherwise could have.
