Making the switch took some practice, but ultimately, I wouldn't have it any other way. Feels better, cleaner reps with better quad engagement.
Like I said earlier, the wrist wraps have made low bar much more enjoyable. Today was my first session with em for squats, and I shall be bringing them every day henceforth."The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Eric talks about his elbows in one of his latest vlogs. It's def. worth looking into your elbow placement, but not all people are the same. These are erics words when I commented on his video:
"YMMV with the elbows. There are some pretty sick squatters (Nick Tylutki comes to mind) that squat with their elbows pointed back."

Today was supposed to be sprints, but I decided to run Tris & Core. Tons of core!
Tomorrow is pulls, but I'm thinking of leaving deads out since I'm starting Sheiko on Monday. Give a bit of rest an recovery before jumping on that train."The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Today was Pulls:
Like I said yesterday, I thought it would be a solid idea to leave deadlifts out today. I focused low weights, and just pulled clean reps on lower back and lats. I even opted out of working bis because the workout was awesome right where I ended.
Warm up:
Back Extension Machine:
(3 sec negative, drive the extension)
250x30
265x30
265x30
Superset:
Wide Grip Low Rows/Hammer Grip Pull-ups
100x12/10
100x12/10
90x15/10
Rows reps were slow and controlled. Tension was never released. Hammer pull-ups were chest up and pull chest to bar. I feel such an awesome lat engagement when done as such.
Superset:
Back Hyperextensions/Side Raises
BW +25 x20/45lb plate x25 each side
BW +25 x30/45lb plate x25 each side
BW +25 x40/45lb plate x25 each side
Really focused a quick drive out of the base of the hyperextensions. Only gettin better here.
Hammer Iso-Low Row:
(Pull full rep, down 1/2, pull back to body...that's one.)
1plate per side x25
1 plate per side +25 x10
1 plate per side +10 x10
These were actually really tough. The amount of time under tension was crazy. My lats are tired.
T-Bar Rows:
(Not pulling a lot of weight here today. All reps have a 3sec negative.)
2 plates x15
2 plates +25 x15
2 plates x20
Shrugs (Machines):
(Each rep is held for a 10 count. The final rep is held to fail.)
2 plates per side x30
2 plates per side x50
2 plates per side x30
Annnd, I'm Done! For not pulling a ton of weight today, I am feeling this workout. Time to rest up, hopefully get solid sleep, and eat well this weekend. Usually I do my refeeds on Mondays, but I may transfer them to Sundays if I am gonna have all those compounds each Monday. Will probably at least do it this week. I'm ready to rock.

Life is good.
I won 10lbs of Syntha-6 Isolate on a contest here this past Friday.
I'm feeling great and well rested.
Muscles feel denser and I am noticeably more vascular.
Drive and intensity to grow and continue to better my mind, body, and spirit, is at an all time high.
Week 1 Day 1 of Sheiko 29 starts at 9:30am tomorrow. I'm on it!!!"The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

It's about time!!!
All weekend, I struggled to wait until today. I was like a fkn kid on Christmas when I woke up today. This program was made for me : )
I used conservative maxes after Stan advised me not to overshoot them.
S-385
B-265
D-415
The squat and dead are low. The bench is probably close, maybe 5lbs low. Gonna build that bish up though.
Sheiko 29:
Week 1 Day 1:
Let's Fu*king Go!
Flat BB Bench:
135x5 (x1)
160x4 (x2)
185x3 (x2)
200x3 (x5)
My bench was clean here. Zero assistance. Great form. Touched the chest with every rep or it didn't count. I actually had to do a couple extra to make them count. My partner and I decided that we were going to make that our gauge for a completed rep, since well, that's what a rep is lol.
Squat:
195x5 (x1)
230x5 (x2)
270x5 (x5)
Flat BB Bench:
135x5 (x1)
160x5 (x1)
185x4 (x4)
Who knew 185lbs could feel so heavy? Building that bench. Buildin that chest!
Accessory:
DB Flies: 35x10 (x5)
Standing Good Mornings: 110x10 (x5)
I had to superset the accessory movements because of time restraints. I wished I didn't have to. I would've went heavier on each.
All in all...a successful day. I had a really great session. The weights were not extravagant, and they didn't need to be. My chest feels awesome, and my legs are primed for the rest of the week. Time to grow.
And with this routine, I don't think I have a choice.
Macros:
250P/325C/60F
Weight:
183lbs
I'm stayin lean, and I'm ready to get on this bit*h!"The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

Good looking start! Yeah, the weights do look pretty wimpy when you glance over it on paper, but as you referred to on that 185 set, they get heavy quick with so much volume. I remember doing a set of like 140 for 12 reps and it was like my 20th set. Chest was so pumped I thought it was gonna explode. Of all the days, I find bench to be easiest, then squat and deadlift - well that's a bit of hell on earth
