Cobb salad: roasted garlic and olive oil marinated chicken breast, eggs, tomatoes, croutons, cheddar cheese, bacon
...all mixed up with Ranch dressing (I used Marie's light ranch - pretty good, much better than fat free ranch crap and most light ranch varieties I've tried. 60 cals/2 tbsp)

Sweet Potato Pancakes topped with Libby's Pumpkin Pie Puree (mixed with chocolate whey & cinnamon) + a egg white omelet made with bacon bit pieces.
Must try these pancakes folks! Add water, mix and pour! That simple! I did the whole pouch for these 3 cakes.

I think this might be the first time I can remember eating gnocchi since my time back in Italy in November 2007 actually.......I love pasta and love sweet potatoes so I had to get this! I am going to either boil it or bake it like the package says. I think these dipped in a combo of Greek yogurt, chocolate whey and PB2 will make for a very enjoyable meal (and picture) indeed!

Took my mother to Greektown (our tradition) for her birthday dinner. We tried a new spot called The Golden Fleece. The buzz was that they had the best Gyros in town. I feel the place lived up to its rep.
Saganaki "Opa" Cheese and Greek Bread
Dolmathes (Vegetarian Grape Leaves Stuffed with Rice and Lemon Egg Sauce)
Greek Salad
Double Gyros Platter with Fries
We stopped by the Astoria Pastry Shop a few buildings down for dessert. I'd never been in, but everyone raves about their stuff.
Chocolate Pistachio Baklava (Forgot to take a pic before I started eating)
Peanut Butter Mud Pie
The baklava is some of the best I've ever had, even though I was wary of the chocolate factor. The gamble paid off though. The PB pie was rich and delicious. You can't see it here, but it's actually a black-bottom pie, meaning there is a layer of melted chocolate lining the inside of the pie in between the crust and the filling."Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius."
"The training is nothing. The will is everything."

Pretty much the only way I can eat eggs anymore:
First time making beef stew. Long process but well worth it:
Teriyaki Stir Fry:
Some ice creams that were on sale:
Spaghettini with hot italian sausage and a tomato cheese sauce:
“Go back?" he thought. "No good at all! Go sideways? Impossible! Go forward? Only thing to do! On we go!" So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter.”

A few spins on the usual weekend eats -
Ground chicken with BBQ Sauce (Dinosaur Slathering Sauce - low carbish for anyone interested 6 g/2 tbsps), cremini mushrooms and provolone
Seared grass fed sirloin and sea scallops cooked a perfect rare to medium rare - with a side of steamed broccoli sprinkled with parmesan and pepper
Ground bison with cremini mushrooms and Maytag blue cheese
Scrambled egg whites with crab, bacon and colby jack cheese - side of blackberries and raspberries
I was in the mood for cookie dough and ice cream but didn't have any cookie dough ice cream so I came up with this hack makeshift "cookie dough ice cream for one" - it was quite delicious. Breyer's Extra Creamy Chocolate Ice Cream with a chopped up nugget of Wholly Wholesome Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
