Future in-laws staying with us for Christmas, so the boss lady took me out to eat at a La Chama Grill (Brazilian Steakhouse) in North Andover, MA as a "thank you"... It was amazing. Never been to one before, loved the style of serving and how all the food was prepared...
Started off with spinach artichoke dip (chips were amazing)
The "sides" plate... fried bannas were unreal (also rice, palenta, salad, and pico de gallo)
The Meats (in no order, prime rib, filet mignon, chicken wrapped in bacon, filet mignon wrapped in bacon, porterhouse, ribs, lamb, chorizo, and a couple more)
And some more meat...
And creme brulee to top it off
All you can eat meat cut directly off a skewer? Yes please. To top it off it was a groupon deal, so app, 2 side plates, 2 all you can eat meats, and 2 deserts for $55 bucks.

at my dorm we would just cover up the smoke detector (it stuck out like a big knob) with a plastic sack or two, then tie a string around it... voila. Pretty sure it takes a lot of heavy smoke to set it off.
Or you could always try to cook in the bathroom, and turn the shower on hot so that it infuses with the smoke and subdues it. usually those are separate from the dorm room with the smoke detector.Misc jawbrah appreciation crew
